its strange when you think about it just how many people throughout your life have said theyve seen or heard something strange. yeah im sure some of them could be explainable. But some cant..interesting stuff. I thin Einstein said energy never disappears, it just changes form.

I knew it!
The bleedin' French!!!!
Seriously, I thought you'd all say, don't sweat it, here's a rational explanation.
But now, I'm really scared to go out in the hallway....
Well, not really. I find the supernatural fascinating. I'd love to spend the night in a so-called haunted house. Next time I'm in the US, I want to check some out!
True story:
Years back, my best friend's father had bought a large wooden statue of Christ. It was his favourite piece, and it stood in the family room, next to the fireplace. His father died not not long after, from cancer.
One night, their house burnt to the ground. A beam in the fireplace had been cracked, and the fire spread out.
The house was gone, and all that was left was..that statue, totally untouched.
Hot news flash: as I'm typing this, I just heard that familiar THUD in the hallway!.

I've never had any experiences of the supernatural but i've seen documentaries and read a few books about it.
I personally believe ghosts are just like audio or film recordings. Energy gets soaked up by buildings or the earth and when the conditions are right they get played back, hence Gorn's mysterious thud at the same time each day or why sometimes days, weeks, months or even years can go by between events.Last edited by YANOULI; Apr 22, '09, 6:06 PM." Yeah some "ghosts" are like audio or video recordings,to where the same scene or noise is played over and over, but there are different types of ghosts or supernatural happenings.I had a strange experience when i was a teenager.I was sitting in a car late one night and the whole car started shaking/vibrating.It only lasted about 5 seconds. When it stopped i sat there a few seconds thinking "What the hell"?,got out and walked around the car, there was nothing or nobody around.I decided it was time to go home and i RAN about a half mile to my house.Comment

While I do find the phenomenon interesting I have yet to have an encounter that I can at least remember anyway. I am a big fan of horror films so maybe I am just immune to ghosts?Maybe I actually scare them.
I dunno. I do like to read others stories like these regarding their experiences or lack of.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Another experience i had happened about 5 years.I used to work in an old factory built in the early 1900s.One day while snooping around in an unused section of the building,i went upstairs into a locker room and started heading toward the other end.I was about 25 ft from another staircase when i heard footsteps coming up the stairs.I froze ,thinking who is this. The footsteps came up the stairs and stopped before coming into the lockeroom.I stood there for a couple minutes, nobody came through the doorway.I backed out the way i had come and went down the other stairs and headed down to the other staircase where i heard the footsteps. It was basically blocked off with boxes and other junk.I climbed over the stuff and went up that staircase and into the locker room again.I didn't see or hear anyone up there,so i turned arounded and headed back down.On the way down i noticed my footsteps coming up in the dust on the stairs, but no one elses.I left real quick and needless to say that was the last time i went up there.Comment

When I was younger, I could see a window across the street, where the figure of a beautiful naked girl moved around in a bedroom. She was the most gorgeous vision I had ever seen. Every evening, she re-appeared.
Then her parents got a restraining order against me, and we had to move.......

OK, seriously.
This is how I explain ghosts. Pay attention, there might be a quiz afterwards.
All matter, living or dead, is made up out of basically the same "building blocks". It's the way that they are arranged, that eventually makes a human, a tree, a rock, etc.
When something dies, when an inanimate object degrades, all this matter returns to its basic form, atoms, molecules, ...
As someone once said: we are all stardust, and that is, to me at least, exactly so.
Now, what if, when we become "dust", and our building blocks fall apart, some connections still remain? When a rock pulverizes, most is dust, but some bigger parts remain. In this way, connections that "were", get integrated into new connections, that "will be". Like a new car that uses some old parts that are still good.
To me, supernatural occurences are not ghosts that say "BOO", but remnants of those old connections that still echo and float around in the space around us. Some of these connections are stronger than others, giving a "bigger" echo.
Like someone said here: like a radio signal that was sent into space, and is still bouncing around there long after transmission was originally made.
To me, it also explains re-incarnation. Some of those "old blocks" from people long gone, get re-used into new people, hence recollections of lives past. Hence four year old kids playing the piano like Mozart.
I think we are indeed just stardust, getting used and re-used time and time again, in new combinations. And some combinations are so strongly linked, that they get incorporated again.
That is the only way I can explain why I have the brain of Einstein, the body of bruce Lee, the face of James Dean, the shaking hips of Elvis Presley,.....Last edited by Gorn Captain; Apr 23, '09, 8:17 AM..

It actually supports my theory:
1. They make junk for us to eat.
2. We eat it.
3. It ends up as waste, that is recycled.
4. They make more junk from it.
5. We eat it again.
So Boo exists, but only as a a continuous recycling of crap......

I had an astronomy professor in college refer to us as stardust but in the sense that we have certain minerals found in our bodies that are not found anywhere on Earth.
Because of my own personal faith; I do believe we all have souls seperate from our bodies."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

never had any supernatural experiences but my sister swears she has a civil war ghost in her house. She lives in Virginia so I am sure there were many battles in the area and she swears to have woken up more than once to see a confederate soldier standing at the foot of her bed. I don"t know, I've spent many weekends there and never seen or sensed anything odd.
I believe in the possibility of ghosts or apparitions but am waiting to see proof.Comment
