I like Jim Morrison and he was cool. He was very intelligent and had a near genius IQ. However, he obviously wasn't very wise. What I read in a 1992 article was that he took pretty much what anyone would give him and got his hands on some bad heroin, which killled him flat. Paris wasn't as big in autopsy as we were so they signed the death certificate as heart attack and that was that; they buried him. But he was cool and full of talent. Just not a very good role model.
I also admire Johnny Cash and more so than Morrison or Elvis because he turned himself around (with the help of a good woman at his side) and did what he could to turn others who were led astray (in prison or teenagers) by his recordings and throwing some gospel music and recording songs with deep meaningful lyrics. He too was cool and indeed is a good role model. (btw, he never spent any time in prison, he had a knack for taking on the first person roll as outlaw in his songs but that was just a stage act. Perhaps he secretly admired bad guys and thought of himself as one that turned around and tried to do what he could to get others to follow.) But he is the epitimy of cool.
Ringo, I don't follow him much but I do like the Beatles and I do like his name!Last edited by hobub; Mar 19, '09, 2:46 PM.Comment

You guys are mixing talent up with coolness.
Ringo's Rotogravure totally sucked, and he'll be the first person to admit it.
Now THAT is just plain cool
Artist like Elvis, Paul and John CAN'T be cool because they're too dedicated.
You can make them cry if you say their album suckscome on...who else could've pulled off that Flight suit but him

Don't know what it is with my hometown area. There must be about five or six Elvis Impersonators running around and booking shows with their karaoke machine as their "back up band."
What is it with Elvis Impersonators? Old people flock to them.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...
