Ringo, because he just didn't want to be bothered with it ... asked John, Paul and George to list a few more of their own - to make up for him not doing it

You have a good point with your definition of "cool"---it's a popular
stance to take in this matter---

---however, being one of those "focused" guys in a band myself
I tend to resent the guy that was more riding on the coattails
of the other guys who were dedicated to the sucessful band

--of COURSE they are most likely to be looked at as "cooler" in that way
----they have less to be concerned about and if it wasn't for
the more "uptight" guys and their creative direction, they wouldn't have
a decent a band to be so "CASUAL" in---they'd just be a guy in sunglasses
banging nicely on a drum!

I know you're not singling me out Mike...but I still
have to say that that "brand of cool" isn't something I particularly
admire in a "band scenario"----so that's why I'd put others above Ringo
in the "coolness"" department.

Take Keith Richards for example---he's "cool" in multiple ways---
including battling Jagger for song input among the more obvious cool things
that don't particularly or directly have to do with music.
