    How well done do you like your steaks ?

    I read the older you get, the more your tastebuds develope and change ... It said the majority of people who liked well-done steaks in their early years prefer them more medium today.

    Speaking for myself, this is 100% true.

    As a kid and even teen I loved my steaks burnt.

    Today, I like them "medium-medium"

    What about you ?

    I take them medium well with just a little pad of garlic butter on it.I can tolerate a little pink inside,but none of the that red raw stuff.MMMMMM steak

      Well I don't eat very much steak. Maybe 4 or 5 times a year.

      But when I do have it, I like it really well done! I liked it that way as a kid, and I like it that way now.

      I tell ya, between this thread and the tater tots thread, I'm gettin quite hungry.

      Steak and Tater Tots.... hmmmm....

        Cook it about 30 seconds per side...just enough to sear it and it's done

                  Seared medium rare is my absolute favorite.

                  I like it charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside.

                  I cooked and ate this sirloin a couple of weeks ago...

                        That picture Hec, looks good .... but I prefer mine just a tad more done inside.

                        I like pink and I like a little blood, but yours needs about an 30 more seconds on the fire for my taste.

                            Depends on the cut. Anywhere from rare to medium rare.
                            I've cooked steak twice this week; playing with the skillet in the broiler is fun!

                              The older I get, the more I prefer it to lave just a thin line of pink in the middle. 20 years ago, I didn't have a problem with rare.
