Sounds like you can't catch a break no matter what you do.
Maybe once you get the first amount drawn, your iron count will go down and you can then donate it.
Unfortunately, I can't donate blood. Tried it a couple of times and my blood sugar dropped so low despite wolfing down cookies and soda that I almost blacked out both times. To top it off, I have the one blood type that the Red Cross drools over....O negative.
My brother also has the same blood type but without the drop in blood sugar. He said when he walks in to donate, that practically roll out the red carpet for him.
I think you can donate every 3 months. Like I said, maybe once you have the blood drawn once, it will help with the iron levels and you will be able to donate from then on.
