Saw it the other night. I thought it was fine.
I don't think Cruise wrecked it. He is very reserved in the role.
Maybe that's what the guy was really like.
Also, I prefer it when they don't do accents. It makes more sense, IMO.
And if they can't do it right, it's much worse.
Funny thing about the British accents.
When I was a kid I thought Nazis were British,
'cause every WW2 movie I saw had British actors.
The only British actor I can remember pulling off a German
accent with any success was Peter Cushing.
But I'm sure there are others.
