Last concert for me was Bruce Springsteen in 99. It was so loud I had to leave.

I've gotten to the point I can't stand loud places so I've given up on concerts.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Well, I do still love to go and see David Cassidy whenever possible. I even took 4 of my students w/ me about 5 years ago, and David made a big deal over them. Even though I saw Rick Springfield in EFX in Vegas, I've never seen him in concert and I hope soon to remedy that. Billy Mumy (Danger Will Robinson), had his own band (featuring Miguel Ferrer, David Jolliffe, and Gary Stockdale), and I flew out to So Cal every month or every 2 months to see them for almost 3 years. (Man, am I in debt now!)

I've also seen Michael Jackson in concert twice. Say what you want about him, but he puts on a HE** of a show!

Michael Jackson just bought a house near me. Hope he doesn't ever plan on moving in....just what NY needs, Neverland II.

There are only two guys that I go see on a regular basis.

            1. Colin Hay. If you EVER hear of him doing a solo acoustic gig in your neck of the woods, go. Former lead singer of Men at Work and before you start knocking them for their 80s cheesiness, take a listen to some of their songs stripped down to just a 12-string guitar. This guy is an absolutely amazing songwriter and a gifted musician. He's also an incredible storyteller and fills the voids between songs with stories and jokes that are better than the songs themselves most of the time. Best of all, his shows usually run in the $25-$30 range.

            2. Bob Schneider. One of my buddies hooked me on this guy and I'm sold. He plays mostly in Texas, but he makes it up the rest of the country on a regular basis. He's in the same price range as Colin Hay and plays smaller venues. I'm not one for the crowded arenas and whatnot, so it's unlikely that I'd go see U2 or any of the big guys any time soon.

in high school i said i would pay any price to see the eagles if they ever got back together.

              they did
but by that time i decided i was willing to pay up to 25 bucks for a show and there had better be no more than 2000 other people in the room

              so the eagles were out.

now days - i see up and coming bands, nobodys, local acts, and has beens.
the shows are far more entertaining and intimate than the big shows -in addition to being cheaper.

Seen almost everyone I've wanted to see. Only groups/artists I never saw but wanted to are these:

                1) Queen
                2) Journey (there's only one Journey and that is with Steve Perry)
                3) George Harrison

Other than that there are no others I can think of. I've seen all the big groups/Artists that I've wanted to see:

                Genesis
                Boston
Eagles (Hell Freezes Over Tour...and they weren't that great)
Elton John (Seen him 6 times)
Eric Clapton (Seen Him 6 times)
Paul McCartney (Seen Him 6 times)
                Styx
Van Halen (with Hagar as lead singer)
                U2 (Seen them 4 times)

I think the only acts I'd like to see and would pay big money to see are the following:

                1) Elvis Costello and any form of the Attractions/Imposters
                2) Genesis in a TRUE reunion tour....Gabriel and Steve Hackett

That's basically it. Of course there are artists I would see if they came around again...McCartney, Clapton, Elton John and a few others...but the set lists would have to change. Especially McCartney...If I hear "Hey Jude" one more time on his tour I think I will lose it. The man has been around in 2 groups and solo for 45 years for Christ's sake....you know there are some songs that he can do that he hasn't done live before.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
                The beauty that surrounds them
                Isn't it a pity".

No I don't really go much any more... but did finally get to see the Police a year or so ago and it was great. Would've loved to see them earlier like in the 80's but...

                  who else??
                  Janes Addicition
                  Pearl Jam
                  Foo Fighters
Alice in Chains - yeah, yeah,
Metallica - I know they were hit and miss, but we'll assume it's a good night.

After scalping concert tickets as a job in high school and two years of doing concert security I pretty much got to see everyone I ever wanted too. Lately it's been comedians. With the Foxwoods casino and the new MGM Grand we get some nice comp tickets for all the money my family members gamble away. Got to see george Carlin 3 times in before he died. Truly was a great guy to see live. I would put him in the Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix class for comedians. You'll always remember his live stuff. Lewis Black, Ron White, and my current fave Lisa Lampinelli from the Comedy Central roasts. Got to meet her at the last concert and take some pix and just got confirmation of my comp tix for the 12/26 show at MGM. Woo Hoo!! Musically i've gotten to see Chicago fantastic live, Earth Wind and Fire,(for my wife but they were actually quite good), Huey Lewis twice, (one of my faves), Hall and Oates twice recently and once years back, still just as good as they ever were, Meatloaf, really good live amazing voice, and my all time fave band The Barenaked Ladies, though it's been about two years since I've gotten to see them again. I like MIB am a huge Sammy fan and was on my cruise when he played at the MGM. Sorry I had to miss it. Seen him 4 times with Van Halen in the scalping days and once on the VOA tour. Highly suggest the "essential red" cd. I grabbed it on Amazon when I bought Jay's two Capt. Eli graphic novels and it has cut substantial travel time off my morning commute. BTW Chris, I turned down some Weird Al tix at the Foxwoods theatre last year. If I'd known you were interested you could have come up and we could have gone.

I'm not really into concerts. I'd probably pay to see Springsteen one more time, but otherwise I've passed on many others who I really love. The cost doesn't meet the value for me. Of course, even when I was younger, I didn't go to too many.

Concerts, no, but shows I'd still go to... if I didn't live in friggin' Florida. The next time the Pogues play Baltimore or DC I'll spend the money on tickets and air fare, but other than that I'm out of luck. Missed the Supersuckers, Dwarves and Circle Jerks over the past year by being geographically ********.

I used to go to them all the time...my sister used to work for a San Fransisco radio station, and she gave me tons of free tickets to not only concerts, but to sporting events as well...I went to two World Series (and sat just behind third plate), and to the Stanford Stadium World Cup venue, thanks to my sis, lol.

So I saw everyone, from Queen (saw them once previously as a teenager as well), to Pink Floyd, the Stones, the Who...to even Madonna and Janet Jackson, lol.

But now, my sis moved on from the radio station, and I just completely lost interest in live concerts, they don't appeal to me anymore...I even lost interest in going to sporting events as well...I mean...I have friends who have season tickets for everything in the Bay Area, from Giants, 49ers, Warriors, A's, and the Raiders, and I'm still not interested on going...although one bud insisted, and I went to a Warriors game not long ago...it was ok.

However, if any of you is offering a live championship boxing event in Las Vegas...I'M SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the only live event that I would jump at the chance of attending, lol.

I first saw them live way back in 1982 in Oakland, Ca...Freddie was on fire...my favorite concert ever. They featured this hydraulic-lighting system that resembled a giant crown, it was awesome, and Freddie kept throwing tamborines to the crowd, lol...it was a lot of fun. I usually hate guitar solos, but Brian May's were great, very underrated guitarist, I love his unique guitar riffs. They were LOUD as heck too...one of the loudest concerts ever...I only recall The Who as being louder...no wonder Pete Townshend is half deaf, lol.

The only thing I didn't like is when the opening act, The Blasters, started playing, the crowd immediately started booing them, I found that to be totally classless on the part of the crowd...so after a couple of songs, they stopped, and left the podium.

But what a great Queen concert, I became a life-long fan after that.
