I just got back from seeing the movie and was entertained. Not as good as the first but decent. The lead actor is one heck of a martial artist. That guy has to be up there with Bruce Lee. He's also a hell of a good actor.

Jason Statham is not really a hardcore martial artist...he himself said this in the DVD extras of his movie War with Jet Li...Statham says Jet Li is the real deal but that he's not.

However he's a gifted athlete and was a competitive diver for 12 years...he actually finished 12th in the world diving championships back in 1992.

That guy has to be up there with Bruce Lee.

The guy is talented. I know why he doesn't get the respect he deserves and it's too bad. Bruce Lee was a legend but this guy is an action star. I think Chuck Norris was one of the few "westerners" to get any respect in the martial arts field on film and it took Bruce Lee killing him in a movie for him to get it.

Oh don't get me wrong, as I previously pointed out...Statham is gifted athlete, he's in great shape, and very athletic indeed...that doesn't make him a real hardcore martial artist though...but yes, he's a great action-star like you said.

Chuck Norris ia real life baddass...he was the middleweight karate world champion for six years.

oops, meant to say "don't know why" in my last post. Norris was also in the Air Force for a while. Don't get me wrong, Chuck is a bad *** but I really think this Statham guy could blow up big in the right role. Do you think he might have made a good Bond or is he a bit too "common man" to do Bond? Let me know what you think Hector.

BTW, I'm going to check out Transporter 3...I like all the Transporter flicks.

Mmm, I don't know about Statham playing Bond just because of the fact that he's both pretty short and bald...but I rather have him play Bond than Jamie Foxx (who wants to play Bond), lol.

But yeah, Statham is a top-notch action-star, no doubt about that my friend.
