Mmm, I don't know about Statham playing Bond just because of the fact that he's both pretty short and bald...but I rather have him play Bond than Jamie Foxx (who wants to play Bond), lol.
But yeah, Statham is a top-notch action-star, no doubt about that my friend.

Don't get me wrong, Chuck is a bad *** but I really think this Statham guy could blow up big in the right role. Do you think he might have made a good Bond or is he a bit too "common man" to do Bond? Oh don't get me wrong, as I previously pointed out...Statham is gifted athlete, he's in great shape, and very athletic indeed...that doesn't make him a real hardcore martial artist though...but yes, he's a great action-star like you said.

The guy is talented. I know why he doesn't get the respect he deserves and it's too bad. Bruce Lee was a legend but this guy is an action star. I think Chuck Norris was one of the few "westerners" to get any respect in the martial arts field on film and it took Bruce Lee killing him in a movie for him to get it.

Jason Statham is not really a hardcore martial artist...he himself said this in the DVD extras of his movie War with Jet Li...Statham says Jet Li is the real deal but that he's not.
However he's a gifted athlete and was a competitive diver for 12 years...he actually finished 12th in the world diving championships back in 1992.Leave a comment:

Transporter 3
I just got back from seeing the movie and was entertained. Not as good as the first but decent. The lead actor is one heck of a martial artist. That guy has to be up there with Bruce Lee. He's also a hell of a good actor.
