Twilight The Movie

In full disclosure, I did read the book. My daughter wanted to read it and I told her I wanted to read it first and make sure it was ok.

I actually thought it was pretty good. The main plot of the story is a teenage girl moving in with her father in Seattle from a divorce. She is infatuated with Edward (the vampire) but doesn't know at the time why she is so interested in him or that he is a vampire.

Meanwhile, he is also infatuated with her but is struggling with an almost uncontrollable urge to want to kill her and gratify himself with her "virgin" blood and the love he has for her.

Lot's of good action and plot twists. It is a bit like the HBO series True Blood but more PG related but the characters are not country bumpkins.

lots and lots of little teenage girls going ohh and ahh during the whole movie. the movie itself wasnt too bad. they were showing it on 3 screens and they were all sold out...98% girls...2 % guys in all of them. lol.

My daughter came back from seeing the movie with her friends and said it was the best movie she's ever seen....she even had the audacity to say it was better than "The Dark Knight", which she loved....

She's now living on the street in a cardboard box

Well it's my oldest daughters twelfth birthday today and last night she said for my birthday can we go to twilight...My wife heard it had vampires and said ask your dad that's his domain....LOL
So it looks like I get to go with four twelve year old girls to see a sappy vampire love movie...
I wonder if shes of the age where I will have to sit a couple rows back cause I'm not cool anymore?

hundreds of girls...and about 3-4 guys...me being one..and the other few were dads with kids...

I'm being dragged along as well. I told my wife I'll just Riff the movie like MST3K. It's just not my type of thing, but she wants to go so I'll take a bullet for her. I asked a teen acquaintance about it, and she told me it was the greatest movie ever made. Somehow I doubt it.

Ah man I hope the next one is better.I mean again not bad but when I watch a vamp flick I want Fangs and eyes and blood at the very least...
Then again I guess I wasn't there for myself anyway.My daughter liked it I just expected more.This could be easily just an immortal flick.Maybe the books are better???anybody know?
