I went American on this thread...don't make me bring up weird Mexican stuff...you might need a barf bag.

You guys can blame my mother for that one. I tried it as a kid and it's just one of those weird things that I liked.

Course, I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a kick out of people's reactions when I try one...

I have had fried scrapple with apple butter sandwiches. Pretty good actually.

I stopped eating scrapple when I found out what was in it.

Grilled cheese and peanut butter, but not very often, and not very much PB.

I seem to vaguely remember a sandwich involving Tang Powder, but I think that was some sort of primal need for sugar. Also tried dry hot cocoa mix and PB. Both suck. If you try them keep a large glass of water handy as you will probably choke. And for Gods sake don't breath while you are chewing.

My god. This is what passes for exotic and unusual in Kentucky?

Oh, man. Come to California, we'll set you up.

Scrape off the guacamole onto my plate, please!
I told you it wasn't weird. If it isn't breaded with corn flour and covered in white gravy around here it's considered "weird".

Scrapple is a NY, Jersey, Philly, Maryland breakfast food.

Basically it's ground up pork parts (everything) and made into a loaf.

                      You then fry it up.

Taste stuff if you can get over the thought of what's in it

Peanut butter and summer sausage sandwiches are the bomb. Doesn't sound like they would be, but they are. Those folks who mentioned PB and bacon know what I'm talking about.

Only if you toast the bread in the bacon grease. I know it clogs the arteries, but it's so good.
