Why hasn't Gilligan's Island been re-made?

Why not go one step further and doom it from the start.
Let's redo it with an all-black cast like they did with the New Odd Couple tv series & Honeymooners movie years ago.

because they are smart. It would truly be stupid these days . LOST and prison break are similar and would be totally unbeleivedable in day and time

In all seriousness... GILLIGAN'S ISLAND was a live action cartoon in it's
context of reality---and that adds to it's timelessness.

A remake would be cool...but as has been proven in the past, remakes are
a hard nut to crack.
