He may be my fellow countryman, but that's where it ends.
He visited Belgium a while ago, to promote his new film "JCVD". Get it?
Amazing title, right.
You know how he always plays double parts in his movies? Twin brothers, evil double, that kind of stuff.
So to make a change, he is playing...himself...playing an actor...who is playing the role of...JCVD.
Academy award material for sure.
When promoting this turkey, he visited our annual SF convention.
The organisors had to hire FOUR professional body guards, for JC alone!
(hey, he’s a martial arts guy, can’t he defend himself?)
He insisted on a system of virtual cueing, no more than two hours signing, and no more than 100 autographs. A lot of regular folks just left, not into this autograph frenzy thing to begin with. On Sunday, it’s mainly mom & pop visitors, you know.
In the end, when all had left, he insisted that the convention organisors buy a pile of autographs from him.
