You know, just like Hawkman, Aquaman got a LOT angrier and sulky after the original Crisis. I know he had problems prior (death of Aquababy and Mera leaving him) but I still don't recall him as this brooding schmuck. Too many heroes went "dark" because, apparently, that's the thing to do instead of writing GOOD stories.

Liking the characters has nothing to do with disliking the current editorial direction of said characters...

(And Marvel's no prize either with Dead Cap, Never Married Spider-Man and a Red Hulk running around )

          Red Hulk doesnt run...he "scampers".

I'm hoping all the silver age incarnations make a comeback as the mainstream version of these characters. It seems to be working out that way, but everytime you kinda sit back and catch your breath, the PTB at DC find a way to screw the process up. I wish they would settle on a direction and go for it....How many more mini/maxi series can they drag out before we get a final version for the new DC universe?

Yet another reason I stopped reading DC's stuff after Zero Hour. That was something they never should have done in the first place.

I don't wast a dime on this new junk. I spend my money on old silver age books. Great art, Great stories and great times! p i s s on these dillweeds who think they can write better stories just because they work at DC or Marvel. I not talking about just any old p i s s either. I thinking of starting at donkey p i s s and going from there.

This whole thread breaks my heart a little. Hawkman had such possibilities. I am with you, they'll get none of my money for this trash. I'd rather spend it on flyers for my new "I hate Dan Didio" club. I've even got better uses for my P I S S. What a freaking waste.

Sign me up. This guy is ruining the books. But what can we expect from someone who used to work on the cartoon "Reboot".

I'm a DC fan and I'm a little lost on the why myself.

I always loved Hawkman. From Superfriends to World's Finest. That whole HawkWorld thing was gawdawful. I'd like to see him return to the character who flew around in space in a big yellow and green rocket with Hawkwoman at his side. I wonder if it will happen.

Probably sooner then you think. A lot of readers hate that crappy JSA alamgram Hawkgirl that got slapped into the JLA. I am thinking if they are bringing the alien Hawkman back, you probably will see Hawkwoman making a return from the dead somehow. Ten bucks says she will return with a magical mace (talks about that has been going around for awhile).

That new Hawkgirl is out of place and I am getting the feeling she is going to be on her way out as soon as Hawkman gets "re birthed."

PS. Hey Dean. Get ahold of me!

I'd like it if they did. Hawkman has such potential and his outfit does NOT need to be armour like HawkWorld. It's fine the classic way.

                            PM sent to you.

Forgive my very little Hawkman knowledge, but what is the difference between Golden and Silver age Hawkman?
