    MCU Thunderbolts

Promotional artwork for the Phase 5 project was then shown to attending fans, confirming the team's members to be composed entirely of previously seen MCU characters, with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) front and center. Other members include Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker/U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

I am assuming there will be a couple surprises. They have to recast Thunderbolt Ross for Rulk.

I thought that Abomination might be on the team. It’s too bad the MCU kills off so many of their villains (Crossbones, Whiplash, Iron Monger, Yellowjacket, Klaw, Scarlet Witch , etc...).

I’m surprised at the mostly Russian (and former Russian-controlled asset) content of the group, it seems a bit odd for a U.S. government(?)-run team?

          Harrison Ford = Ross, right?

At least, those are the online rumors, I’ve read.

looks like a fun movie. maybe they are getting things back on track with the MCU. the last several movies have been sub par, not counting Deadpool and Wolverine

This does look like a lot of fun. The new Cap: Brave New World trailer looks great too. Excited for these films.

Today is the day that Thunderbolts gets released to theaters.
                      IMG_20250501_150442.jpg

After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap, an unconventional team of antiheroes must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts.

So BF & I went to see this today. While Thunderbolts was a fun movie, it felt like we were watching a made-for-tv movie at the theater. Some not so great scenes and some fun scene.
Stay ALL the way through the credits that set up for the next films.

After the weekend I will say more.

I thought it was great. Didn't get a made-for-tv vibe at all. I thought it was better looking than many of the recent MCU films and shows. Nothing jumped out at me as half-baked.

It feels like they got that winning MCU formula back. Plenty of action, good mix of humor, lots of snarky, quippy dialog that's actually fun, and characters you actually care about and can relate to one way or another. The message of the movie is a very positive one too. It resonated with my family who I saw this with. The end credits sequence actually felt like old MCU too, setting up some definite coming events.

To me with 3 Captain America type characters it seemed off.

I also remember the comic book origins of Sentry and the silliness that Stan Lee and Wizard pulled over people's eyes so I never thought that much of the character.

The movie was fun and more emotional than the Avengers movie. Without the big fight scene it reminded me of those (good) made for TV movies. I plan on going and rewatching it again in 3D.

My son and son in law went with me to see this last night.

We all really liked it! Plenty of action with humor sprinkled in. I liked it much better than Captain America Brave New World and it was a slog in my opinion.

Almost everyone in the theater stayed for the mid and end credit scenes as well.

Hoping F4 will be as good as this or better.

Went to see it today. Well I have to be honest, it was a good film. Was I happy with some of the content in the film?

                              No.

                              THUNDERBOLTS*

                              [ *Avengers Are Not Available]

                              "Anya come out"

What a FK'D up segway onto the story. MARVEL DOES SNUFF FILMS!!! yeah, yeah, yeah, as we all find out these are MESSED UP PEOPLE, who had crappy lives and lived even Crappier ADULTHOODS!!

"Bob" has a lot to look forward too, like maybe, getting killed by THOR!?!?!! Maybe, just maybe they will stick to the comic version??

Again, the taking the liberty of the name: "Thunderbolts" There is NO Atlas. No Moonstone. No Beetle. No Citizen V/Zemo. No Songbird. I do wonder how Kurt Busiek has reacted to all this. I would love to hear/read his opinion and they better cut him and Mark Bagley some FATT Cheques!!!!

Just like the "Defenders" no Subby, No Surfer, No Brunhillda, No Kyle Richmond, No Hulk or Strange. Instead we had HEROES FOR HIRE in their place!

Don't get me started on the "Guardians".

I was also NOT happy with the guilty walking free and not getting punished. That was not something I wanted to see especially in these Trying -Times!

****es me off to the point that I was ready to vent on the fellow audience members and AGAIN! IS this something that's "NEW" and exciting where you TALK DURING the FKING MOVIE?????
Are people that FKING stupid and SHALLOW????

Florence Pugh reminds me of the "actresses" from either Prague and/or Hungary that Rocco Siffredi has "worked" with!

I appreciated the camera work of the camera crew when they had close ups of her face, it sent me back to some of Rocco's films from the 1990's!!!

                              Thank You.

Was it me or did I miss TASKMASTER????????? And no I didn't fall asleep at the cinema.

There shall be a 'CRISIS' No. No one says it in the film, but as the final end scene shows what is coming up.

And honestly, how are the OTHER Surviving AVENGERS so BLOODY SILENT that they haven't taken action to stop this mess

HULK? CAP-SAM, Vision, ANTMAN & the WASP, THOR, Hawkeye,

And, I do find it ODD. That with everything going on in the EMSEEYOU, that the passage of time (that 14 months AFTER the initial meeting.) That there has been no mention of activity of or from the ETERNALS

                              Or STARFOX

                              Or the Space SCABS!

                              Or THOR and his ward!

                              Or Shuri and Wakanda

And for me personally; the arrival of the PRINCE of POWER on Earth, after so many centuries(?)

A good film that entertains if you like seeing innocents Killed violently and MORE QUESTIONS then answers.
