So what are your votes for the best Robin costume?

The Hot pants and booties look wasn't so bad for the Golden age Robin, but when he still looked like that in the 70's, it was starting to get a little goofy. The Tim Drake 1st suit was cool. That was the suit they used for the movie Robin(Tim Burton approved it, then didn't direct ) ...Hey, I know this is going back, but when I was a kid, DC had a contest to redesign Robin's costume. I only saw the end results, but they were published on a two-page spread. It was in a Batman Family if I'm not mistaken..Does anyone else remember this?

Yeah- it was in the late 70's... interestingly enough, future Batman artist Norm Breyfogle (who arguably defined the 1st Tim Drake costume, though Neal Adams designed it) had one of his proposed Robin costumes printed in that spread.

Interestingly, Norm Breyfogle was just at a local show here and brought a lot of work with him, including some concept sketches that he did when DC asked their Batman artists to redesign the Robin suit back in 1990 or so. Interestingly, one of his designs is incredibly similar to the current Tim Drake suit...
