This would jibe with my conception of the SSS.

Batman wins against everyone...but Cap never truly loses.

It's a copout, but just like in DC vs. Marvel AND JLA/Avengers, it's a draw.

This question pretty much nails why Cap would eventually win. Batman, for all his well-trained physical prowess, will eventually get tired. Cap, however, can go the distance thanks to the properties of the Super Soldier serum in his body. It prevents him from getting tired, or at least takes a heck of a lot longer for him to get exhausted than a normal human would. To be fair, Cap would know he was in a fight when the dust settles.

Prior to that, it'll boil down to which character has the best strategy, which is a toughie as both Batman and Cap are master strategists. I'd expect Batman's Utility Belt and Cap's Shield would be early casualties in the battle, as weaponry is usually the first things to go in a fight, and both combatants will try and take out each other's gadgets and gear.

It shall be life."

You mean Attuma is now at the 80,000 tons strength mark??

The first part of your post was immediately what came to mind for me. Man to man fight with Batman getting exhausted and Cap' endurance making the difference. But Bat' utility belt (gasses in particular) making the difference in my imaginary fight.

Thanks, Starroid! Gasses from Batman's utility belt COULD slow Cap down, but I think (I must research this!) the Super Soldier serum might make Cap resistant to some gasses. Plus, both Batman and Cap would likely do their homework and know each other's tricks and tactics, hence why the belt and shield would probably be useless - Cap would disable Batman's belt somehow early on, and Batman would likely get Cap's shield away from him.

Wish they would make up their mind. Marvel Encyclopedia has it he can lift twice his body weight.

I know one of the comic series of fights was based on fan votes (like Wolverine defeating Lobo behind a bar). I read some of it and it was awful..

Comicbookresources has some pretty interesting articles on bad fights (like Werewolf by Night choking out the Hulk).

In re Avengers/JLA limited series thet hinted at such a fight. Batman stood on the shield and both guys measured eachother for an entire page before deciding they were too evenly matched for a fight and that it would take too long. I think, with no shield and go gadgets, Batman wins based on his knowledge of human anatomy and pressure points.

It was a pretty fun series to read, if nothing else.
It also spawned two further limited series (DC/Marvel: All Access and Unlimited Access) and two waves of Amalgam Comics.

This never happened before? If Captain America is now an agent of Hydra wouldn't he just kill Batman?
