The best live action Spider-Man suit since Nicholas Hammond. It's pretty much perfect.

Everything about the suit is perfect! The back spider! The eyes! Seriously, what are people saying negative about it? I don't even want to waste the energy going to look for the negative comments. I didn't think it was possible to make it more perfect than the ASM2 costume, but they did (while making it different).

^I'm just ecstatic to have eyes that don't cover half his damn face for once! HATE the huge eyes that started in the 90's.

Most are saying it's too "cartoonish". My guess is they're basing their judgements on the other Spider films, not any of the comics.

The best comment I read was the guy taking a swipe at DC by saying "it's too bright. It's not dark enough."

haha maybe they would prefer if it was filmed in black & white or sepia.

Still elated. I never thought we would see Romita Sr translated on screen! Seriously, not trying to get carried away but WOW!

Just watched the trailer again and it's was even better upon a third viewing. I think a lot of the dialogue is intentionally miscued with the action as a series of red herrings. For example, the line you hear (I believe) from Stark "I was wrong about you. The whole world was wrong about you.." It sounds less angry and more sad, so I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the film's ending and if it ends the way it ended for Cap in the comics; shot and dying. It would definitely give Stark pause and probably make him reflect a bit more about who and what Captain America actully stands/stood for.

Wondering if, since the movie has been cast and is already filming, there's a chance we'll get a cameo from a certain Sorcerer Supreme somewhere in the movie? And note that the MCU's two biggest guns are missing from the conflict. If The Hulk and Thor were involved, one has to wonder whose side they would choose or whether they would remain neutral. We know from the comics that there was definitely a certain amount of animosity between Thor and Iron Man following the events of Civil War (considering that Thor pretty much crushed him like an aluminum can). I'm almost wondering if Thor could pop in, unannounced and unadvertised, to break up the ongoing conflict to let the Avengers know that "Thanos is coming..."

Lastly, still really digging the new Spidey suit. I like the fact that they've kind of played down the webbing pattern (looks more like it is actually below the surface of the costume instead of on top of it) as well as the whole suit patterning in general. If you look closely as several of the high res shots of the suit that have been showing up, you'll see the the black material around his eyes is actually made up of multiple layers. I'm wondering if this is Stark tech and basically acts like a camera shutter, iris-opening and closing in reaction to electrical impulsed from Parker's face.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

It's really, really close to Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon...which makes sense as that's Disney's first crack at Spidey.

Marvel thinks they can just dump this "Spider" character into their movie without explanation, but how did he get his powers in the first place? What's his motivation for being a super hero? Can we please get an origin story?? Seems to be a pretty obscure character that only comic fan boys would know who he is....

so I guess I'm the only one who thinks Spidey looks fake? maybe the final product will look better?
it just looked way too CGI, maybe it isn't, but it didn't look real in any way to me.
and the voice was TOO young sounding, no?
(I'm old, I was buying Spiderman comics before I could even read in the early 1970s, Romita is my fav artist, so it's not a generational thing, just my $.02)
the rest of the movie looks awesome.
