New Civil War Trailer and we have Spider-Man

Here we go again, more BVS hate.

C'mon Hector, that's not fair. I want BVS to succeed. I really do.
I simply don't care for the grim and depressing DC movie verse. Despite all the seriousness in the Civil War trailer it still looks a lot more fun than BVS which looks about as cheerful as a funeral. DC just has no idea what they're doing. They are extremely worried about how BVS will perform...and with good reason. The entire DC movie verse is riding on it.
The fact that there will be an R rated version of BVS speaks volumes. DC immediately announced this after the success of Deadpool, and Superman does NOT belong in an R rated film of any kind. They are closely watching whatever works for Marvel and then desperately scrambling to copy them. Of course, these are the same people that think all of Superman's problems stem from wearing his red shorts on the outside. I'm still going to see BVS, but I have ZERO expectations.

Yep. The CWar trailer tone is interesting in that you start off the same implication as BvS -Superhero Collateral Damage - but it looks like War just steps away and goes right into...I'll be generous and use the old-school term..."high drama"...where BvS is going to just hammer the point home for nearly three hours.

Probably just me, but the more I see of the Tony/Steve combativeness, the more it feels like a couple breaking up, not two guys on a team who've had enough of each other. RDJ is so emotive, it reminds me that he's never played a truly cold or mean character. On the other side, I'll be shocked if Cavill and Affleck have comparable chemistry.

Yep. And dramatically speaking, it's always more intense to watch two former friends turned enemies. BVS doesn't have that dynamic.

Now THAT was a damn, fine trailer. The tone and action hit all the right beats. Do I think BvS will do good out of the gate? Heck yeah. But when CA:CW hits theaters, I have a feeling it's going to be the ages old DCvMARVEL war reignited only this time at the box office and I think MARVEL will come out the winner. Audiences have more history with these characters and the fighting between them will seem more like a natural evolution of what has come before. And Spidey, well, hell's bells, he looks totally sweet! Love, love, love the moving eyes! If this doesn't convince DC to do a BATMAN movie with white eyes, I don't know what will....

Based on this trailer alone, this movie is going to be the best Avengers flick yet! Black Panther, Spidey, Ant Man hitching a ride on Hawkeye's arrow, no infinity stones or magical sceptres...choose your side!

My son was telling me about this. The costume (especially the mask) looks to be based on Alex Ross' interpretation of John Romita's version. How can that be wrong?

The minor changes, like the blue cuts through the red here and there, were just made to market THIS version of the character, vs. the previous movies, cartoons, etc.
