C'mon Hector, that's not fair. I want BVS to succeed. I really do.
I simply don't care for the grim and depressing DC movie verse. Despite all the seriousness in the Civil War trailer it still looks a lot more fun than BVS which looks about as cheerful as a funeral. DC just has no idea what they're doing. They are extremely worried about how BVS will perform...and with good reason. The entire DC movie verse is riding on it.
The fact that there will be an R rated version of BVS speaks volumes. DC immediately announced this after the success of Deadpool, and Superman does NOT belong in an R rated film of any kind. They are closely watching whatever works for Marvel and then desperately scrambling to copy them. Of course, these are the same people that think all of Superman's problems stem from wearing his red shorts on the outside. I'm still going to see BVS, but I have ZERO expectations.
