DC must have shut it down, it shows 2 seconds of WW on a horse then bam on to Zootopia or Kung Fu Panda. after refreshing I finally got it to work. Glad to see it set in WW2 and fighting Nazis.

Is Kevin Smith just a bobble head now?

Pass...to me she just looks like a female knight in skimpier armour. A sword and a shield? Really? Give me Lynda Carter's version any day.

The sword and shield became a part of the character in the 1990s, popularized by Kingdom Come. Parts of the film are set in WW I, which does not follow the comics. Could be a choice to not go down the same road that Captain America has already plowed on the big screen. No one's going to out do Lynda Carter for those who grew up on the show, just like Christopher Reeve or George Reeves before him will always hold a special place to those who grew up with their versions of Superman. But, if the characters are going to carry on, someone has to pick up the torch. It didn't really help Superman Returns to ask Brandon Routh to basically impersonate Reeve's performance. I was not originally enamored with the casting and still question whether Gadot can act. However, what little that was shown was interesting to me. I'll at least see her in the role before I pass any real judgment.

Saw what I think is the same footage last night on the DC special that was on the CW. This take on WW definitely looks much darker (DC dark? What am I thinking?) than anything WW related before. It seems the whole of the DC movieverse is determined to be "gritty" and more "real" than the MCU.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

She's more of a female horse riding gladiator with shield and sword than what I'm used to seeing, plus Chris (Captain Kirk)
Pine as Steve Trevor should be interesting, take it for what it is and go with that.

                      Great post.

The only thing I'll add...Gadot will do just fine...as Lynda Carter was not exactly Meryl Streep herself.

I'm just not stuck in the old ways...yes, I appreciate the old school stuff...but I also like fresh new takes on characters. Forty years from now, comic book geeks will be hating the new young Wonder Woman actress and praising the elderly Gal Gadot, lol....just like many Christopher Reeve fans today bypass George Reeves or Kirk Alyn, and so on, that's just how it goes...we baby boomers can't understand the taste in some of these millennials nowadays, in turn, when they themselves are old...they are going to be scratching their collective heads at their younger generation, the mutated nuclear holocaust fallout mutants, lol...

Looking forward to the new Wonder Woman, I can't wait...

The movie itself could be wonderful, but the color timing makes me ill. I love movies that are shot to look natural. Or over the top colorful. But the drabness of it all... I'm such a visual moviegoer.

Since they are still filming this, what they showed was alright.

Good points. I'm really looking forward to seeing her in this role as well. I do wish there was more color involved as another member mentioned.

And that's part of why Marvels' movies do better than DC's.
