This is in no way meant as a criticism or insult. Is anyone here planning on seeing this movie? I'm just curious.Leave a comment:

I don't blame Trank. This is what happens when you let Mark Millar through the door.
Peter David's Hulk, Bendis' Spidey, now this. It's one thing to use a current storyline, it's another to base a franchise off of some guys soap opera retcon that had nothing to do with what made the character work in the first place.Leave a comment:

Wow! After reading those reviews, I'm sure FOX has got to be wondering not only what the hell it was thinking but also "Why, oh why, did we tack on here "From the people who brought you X-MEN: DOFP"...Leave a comment:

I can only go to the movies on Wednesdays...so tomorrow is Mission Impossible Rogue Nation for me...and the following Wednesday will be The Man from Uncle...

I'll probably get lambasted for this, but the CGI "flame on" Torch looks pretty good to me--more fiery, less translucent than the earlier film versions.Leave a comment:

There's a life sized Thing statue at my local theatre promoting the movie. Keep wanting to put trunks on him.

I'm stunned at the promotion this is getting on Disney Channel and Disney XD. With all the talk of Marvel cancelling the comic and not releasing merchandise, etc, the promotions on the Disney stations makes this look as much of a Marvel Studios film as Ant-Man.

...so they want people to see Fantastic Four because they really want to see the Deadpool Trailer?!?!?!
This is way past the point of no return on investment... Yikes...bad message sent & received.Leave a comment:

I initially had that same concern, but with the success of far lesser known properties like Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, I think what it really does is send a clear message that fans want these movies done RIGHT, and we're not going to just gleefully accept any old plate of slop they try to serve up.Leave a comment:

U.N.C.L.E. is next weekend. I refuse to see the Fantastic Four movie. Eventually one of the many Comic Book/Superhero movies was going to be a wholesale disaster as both a bad movie and box office flop. This is looking likely to be that movie.
It certainly looks and sounds like it deserves the fail.
My concern isn't this particular movie but the effect it's failure may have on movies being developed based on other Comic Book and superhero properties. Someone at the studio(s) will get nervous.Leave a comment:
