Not surprising they are adapting Ultimate FF... Mark Millar apparently has some form of consultant role with Marvel films at Fox, based on his success with Wanted, Kick-*** and now Kingsmen. He co-created the teen versions of Ultimate FF with Bendis. http://screenrant.com/x-men-fantasti...x-mark-millar/

Let's see if Doctor Doom will be Victor Van Damme and sport the hooves. In the trailer, he evidently is transformed into metal, like the Ultimate incarnation of Doctor Doom.

interestingly enough, despite the embargo Marvel currently has on promoting the Fantastic Four in any way in comics and licensing, they have made the (villainous) Ultimate Fantastic Four Reed Richards a prominent character in Secret Wars this summer... just as the Teen Version of Read hits the big screen.

Victor Von Blog has already won. The movie is trending very badly. His job is done.

Trailer? They leaked the whole dang FIRST ACT!

Anyways---my biggest complaint was that Ben came across to serene for my tastes, both verbally and physically. For a trailer, I could let everything else slide.

Terrible! This is the first time in my life that I have zero interest about a movie with Marvel characters in it.

I honestly didn't think it looked that bad. Not the FF, but not bad. It's like a 70s Marvel adaptation with a budget. Take the names and some of the trappings, and mix everything in a blender with some other TV show or movie. The Hulk gets mixed with Les Miserables and The Fugitive, Captain America gets mixed with Evel Kneivel and the Six Million Dollar Man. Now the FF get mixed with Chronicle, with a hint of Hunger Games and Divergent.

But we expect more faithful adaptations now.

Not saying it's good, but the trailer didn't scream "suck" like i expected.

Looks like Reed Richards will be much more fantastic than before...

The major call out here is the description and analysis of Reed Richards’s abilities. His experiment, which we assume is the method of interdimensional travel, gave him not the traditional powers of flexibility and stretchy skin due to physical changes in his body, but the power to “warp the space around him.” This idea may open Reed up to a new power set in the films, something perhaps never seen any version of the character from the comics. If anything, the idea of altering reality around him in a sense is certainly more deserving of the codename “Mr. Fantastic” and its a more fitting power to match Reed’s personality.

Descriptions and lab reports on the characters of the 'Fantastic Four' reboot reveal a new source of powers for Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic.

Alright. That's pretty damn cool and an original take, IIRC.

More I think about it, that's a really good explanation for Reed. Maybe this is what set Marvel off; I don't know how they could swipe that for the comics.

The other bios read like more Wes Craven's Swamp Thing ripoffs...which every Marvel and DC film, since Ang Lee's Hulk, have borrowed.

The FF can't seem to get enough bad marketing... Why even release this thing with this out in the open? Direct to DVD seems the best option.
