Personally, I think the trailer is misleading.
The vibe I'm getting is that they are trying to make it feel more like a Superhero Movie then it actually is.
Just my opinion, but that is the feeling I am getting.Everyone is Entitled to MY Opinion...Your's, not so much!Comment

IMHO, still MEH. It looks okay for a run-of-the-mill young-adults-gain-superpowers film (as a matter of fact, it even LOOKS like the current crop of movies that have been based off of young adult fiction), but it still doesn't look like the Fantastic Four to me. With any luck at all, this movie will do so abysmally poor at the box office that 20th Century Fox will sell the the property back to MARVEL, in whose hands it rightfully belongs. THEN, we'll see a REAL FF movie, but likely not for another 10-15 years.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

Doesn't have the FF comic book feel...but I'll watch it as a stand alone sci-fi flick...this Thing looks waaaaaaaaaay more powerful than the previous Chikilis' Thing.
Kinda reminds me of the new Planet of the Apes...nothing like the classics...but good solid movies on their own right.sigpicComment

Dropping Ben from a plane like a bomb is pretty cool. The rest just seems really weak. Just embrace the nutso Kirby/Lee vibe and run with it.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

1. Weak reaction to The BvS leak and the subsequent big rollout that is/was planned for tomorrow at select theaters.
2. Josh Trank was supposed to be at the Star Wars spinoff panel this weekend, but he wasn't and no answer has provided
3. Marvel/Disney promotional for Avengers and subsequent Marvel properties is about to kick into high gear.
It's very surprising to see the Marvel Films Logo in the FF credits as word was Perlmutter ordered it removed from all Fox properties.
IMO, Wannabe is right and that this is the "superhero" trailer cut by the studio.
Trank is not going to have promotional approval, which is a really high bar for a director, and I think this is part of the tug o' war between the two. So Fox partly decides to release the trailer to step on Trank for taking the Star Wars gig during FF production, which is a no-no unless it's within the same studio. The same thing happened with the guy who directed the Apes reboot, which is why he left the sequel.
What's really bizarre is this could have been a great sci-if movie. It feels like Event Horizon 2 or a remake of Altered States. It could have been a great Challengers of The Unknown or Doom Patrol film, but the FF are so defined it doesn't click.
The timing of the New Mutants film being dropped from production for this reboot makes me believe they took the promo/marketing idea for New Mutants and applied it to FF as a way to keep the rights. So the cast gets young and diversified while dropping the need to pay any X talent as special guest stars.Comment

I don't think it matters how they market this movie, the dye has been cast and most people already know it's coming without Marvel's blessing or merchandise. and I don't feel like the movie is showing me much different from what has already been seen. In my opinion, it's DOA. I won't support it.Comment
