You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
He may have his detractors, and maybe in the case above me^^^, haters. I never once watched an episode so I can't speak to his acting, charisma or charm. What I can tell you and show you is what he looks like now. I think he's visually closer to the character than Cavill. Wouldn't that be awkward to have Ray Palmer(Routh) and Welling's Superman in the same scene?
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

Mmm...nope...
Cavill is Supes...Welling is Clark...never was Supes...except on the last ten seconds from a very far away shot...and super dark scene...on the very last episode of a ten friggin year run...Welling will NEVER be Superman to me...

AGREED!Although I like Cavill VERY much...Tom's the Man! He was also Chris Reeve's pick to replace him as Superman...to bad he didn't get his wish.

I love the idea that when Wayne is designing the suit with Fox or whoever, one of his priorities are ripped abs demarcations.
THAT is what makes Snyder a bad choice. His failure to understand that because comic artist go overboard with muscle definition blasting through the suits, it will not look plausible on film. How tight is that suit supposed to be, and if it is that tight, how does it provide protection.
It's acceptable for Superman to be that cut because he's wearing alien material that works as a conduit. Same with GL and Flash. But Bats is a dude. His torso needs flexible plating over his abs and ribs.Comment

The Superman statue feels like a bit of overkill on the social reaction to Superman's "arrival". I say that mostly because the premise based on what has been stated regarding the formation of the Justice League is that many of these heroes already exist and that Batman himself is older. So how is it that a world already exposed to super-beings are going to have a God-fixation on Superman when they have a character like Batman who can build a suit to battle him toe-toe? It just feels a bit over-stated in the trailer for a society to be that resigned to serve honor to one person who quite frankly allowed a city to be destroyed in defeating Zod. And how could anyone understand the context of what he was fighting at that moment to know whether he had saved the planet or not? Society tends to respond to what doesn't get done right than contemplate the long term good of an accomplishment. I'm hoping Snyder doesn't let his Watchmen sensibilities run away with this.
While I was writing this, I considered another pitfall in pursuing that angle too far. Marvel is already into the start of the registration act for it's world of heroes. If Avengers 2 really makes a big statement on that plot point, it's going to feel mimicked by DC by default. So hopefully Snyder didn't roll the dice and spend an entire film weighing the social ramifications of a world WITH heroes. Surely it has to play a role, but hopefully not at the expense of getting preachy or becoming too redundant for audiences coming in from the Marvel movies. This will be interesting.Comment
