So hopefully Snyder didn't roll the dice and spend an entire film weighing the social ramifications of a world WITH heroes. Surely it has to play a role, but hopefully not at the expense of getting preachy or becoming too redundant for audiences coming in from the Marvel movies. This will be interesting.

You make an excellent point my friend, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is also going to touch on this very subject. Heck, The Avengers did as much damage to New York battling the Chitauri as SUPERMAN did battling ZOD in Metropolis.

Certain DC heroes exist, but they exist in the dark. A lot of this is actually being built into Suicide Squad, which has quickly become DC's answer to Civil War.

Batman is an urban legend. There are no overt appearances by him. The only person whose had real contact with him is Joker, who killed Jason Todd in the process. Joker is the Lector of the Squad and Amanda Waller uses him to sniff out info on Batman.

GL is known to Task Force X, Wonder Woman has been interacting with civilization since WW2, but in disguise. I think Aquaman and Atlantis surface just when the world is threatened. Flash is going to be someone heroing discreetly and Cyborg will most likely be a byproduct of the devastation of Metropolis created by STAR Labs.

WB/DC know what Marvel is doing way before we do as their are too many interconnected people like agent, VFX artists, writers, etc...that's why WB considered George Miller's JLA movie several years ago, even setting up production in Austrailia with the cast. But they bailed for a few reasons. Nolan was one, another was it didn't appear Marvel would get to an Avengers film until 2015 at earliest, certainly with no Hulk or Spidey involvement.

So DC got beat to the punch because they didn't see Iron Man turning out so strong. Iron Man was setup at New Line for nearly a decade at that point, giving WB access to every production decision as they owned New Line. WB had no intention on letting New Line move forward and the version they were considering was based around a young Tony Stark with the Smallville guys. Arad pulled a con job, got the rights back, setup private investing, and boom.

Marvel forced Avengers into Iron Man, and Thanos into Avengers, because they knew DC was hedging on establishing JLA and Darkseid in the Superman reboot. So DC has been spending a few years trying to counter-program and the answer, apparently, is to make the consequences of action really, really heavy. The early rumors have Aquaman only appearing because Darkseid is literally destroying the planet and his interaction with the others is minimal. But BvS and JLA has gone through countless revisions so few people are really sure what's the final scale. I mean, a world-wide attack by Darkseid v JLA is at least 250 million.

Still really liking the Batman suit in the movie. The best Bat suit in a movie by far.
(Good views of the Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman costumes in the exhibit pic above.)

^I am liking the Batman costume, and Wonder Woman doesn't look bad from here.

Superman looks downright traditional now, don't he?

I saw this trailer up on the big screen, in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron last night. On the big screen, I was a bit more wowed. My love for these characters made me a bit more excited than I have been for this film....

Then I sat through Avengers, and saw how these types of movies SHOULD be done. Heroes acting..heroic! Still very human, with faults and foibles, but heroic none the less.

Not to beat this dead horse again, but I couldn't help but think this after seeing the film last night.

Bat-Fleck has been spotted on the Suicide Squad set in costume. And a GCPD patrol car, too.

I jumped on board with most and really had my doubts about Affleck once he was named for the part, but just seeing that trailer and it's changed my mind.

I don't see Ben Affleck. I see Bruce Wayne,

The interior photos look fine, but that publicity photo on the cover of the magazine reminds me of the modern Halloween costume ads when you see the models overdoing it in their costumes.

So no one will notice Batman and Bruce Wayne have the same facial mole and chin dimple? This is reaching parody level in terms of the disbelief factor one must embrace. I also agree with Hedji. That cover shot just looks ridiculous. Why would you shoot those costumes in such sterile light? It looks like a catalog shoot. I can see all three in adult Underoos next.
