The worst part could actually be for MARVEL itself, since their name is attached to the project. If the film opens and tanks, it could be considered their first true cinematic "black eye" since their films started to make huge amounts of $$$. I think if the movie were so bad that even FOX and the producers have no faith in it, MARVEL/Disney should be able to find some way of preventing it from ever seeing the light of day...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

This is what I mentioned months ago in another thread. I asked back then if Marvel had any legal grounds to stand on for Fox causing damage to their intellectual property. The general consensus was no, but I believe they definitely should.

There has been scuttle that the Marvel fliproll will not be in the opening credits.

At first I don't buy it, but the fliproll is for the film division, and they got nothing to do with this movie and no longer need the credit for branding. The only hangup is contractual when it comes to credits. Credit placement is not artistic, it's negotiated and based on Guild rules. So whatever money Marvel may get mandates a credit placard

Trailer's attached to Kingsman, which comes out in a month.

That gives FF a six month A&M window, which feels short, but they're probably planning on piggybacking the Marvel Express of A2, Daredevil and the real live tour. That usually causes a fight between studios, as A&M costs as much to produce, and that would fit in nicely with the magic eraser Marvel publishing has been using on non-controlled properties.

If anyone doubts the erasure game, considered they canceled the FF, made Inhumans the dominant Mutant species, and killed Wolverine and Namor within months of each other. Also, if you go to a store like BAM, the graphic novel section will have multiple variations and copies of Avengers/Spidey related titles, but maybe one or two for FF copies and nothing for Namor...while promoting the 75th anniversary.
