Again, it's really easy to be a "badass" with those advantages.

On the flip side...then Batman is also overrated.

He needs a disguise for the "fear" factor...Batmobile, fancy gadgets, is a billionaire with unlimited budget to keep fighting crime, and so on. If he really wants to be a badass...then just go out during the daytime...wearing just shorts and a Bermuda short...and fight crime like that.

Also, he has defeated Superman...using kryptonite. Heck, a little 12 year old girl can defeat Superman with kryptonite as well, not too impressive. Let's see Batman beat Superman without kryptonite, without his toys, in broad daylight...inside a MMA steel cage...

...let's see how badass Bruce Wayne really is...

Batman uses his intelligence and physical abilities to be ready and able to take down most anyone, including Superman. Sorry Hector, but even Superman knows how formidable Bruce is and won't readily try and take him one on one. yes he uses Kryptonite, because it puts him on a more level playing field against someone as powerful as Superman. But he also uses his environment and any tools needed to win. I don't recall him using the big K in Dark knight returns, he used Supermans own weaknesses against him and some kind of weird cannon.
was it the Cosmic Odyssey storyline where Superman comes into Gotham with one of the new gods, maybe Orion?, and says he better let Bats know they are there, and Orion says why, isn't he an ordinary mortal? and Supes says he may be mortal but he is anything but ordinary. respect like that from Superman is what makes him a badass
