I know you've been reading every day, but I still thought I'd point out the awesomeness of this glimpse into Mary's childhood, when her only escape from a life of squalor was when she would enlarge herself twice the size of a house and run through the fields with her friend the Stork Girl.

Curse this thread. I'm now reading Mary Worth, when I read my online comics.

I apologize. This is a very lame Mary Worth storyline, not as lame as the one where she found a dog and united it with it's rightful owner without a shred of drama, but very lame nonetheless. I had hoped street urchin Mary would have robbed a hobo by now.

              ....Spoiler Alert......
I heard Mary Worth is going to flip out, kill Bruce Wayne, and become the new Batman....err...Batma'm! Then she's going after those two other miscreants Nancy and Sluggo!

OK....ya got me to look! Are they writing for a trade paperback? The pacing, even for a comic strip, is so slooooooowwwww. 2 panels a day? That's it? I remember when the freakin' Phantom was 4 panels a day!

What a pathetic origin story. I am truly disappointed and apologize for exposing you to it's lameness.

Here's a recap of her entire monologue. It's actually pretty funny when you run it all together.

I think Stan Lee would have wrapped it up like this:

                              "And thus was born...an INTERLOPER!!!"

Too bad she didn't get beaned in the head by the baseball in that last panel...that woulda added some excitement to it.
