Here is the problem as I see it ... I'm old.
Every time someone gets cast in a role it hits me out of left field and the first question I ask is "Who is that?" then "What have they been in?" and finally "Why did they cast a kid in that movie?". I of course take a step back and see how Dirk Benedict, Don Johnson, Lee Majors, Harrison Ford, et al in my pantheon of actors I think were cool might not seem like a good fit in a modern movie about a 30 year old Kryptonian or orphaned millionaire playboy.
This was my initial reaction to the Luthor news.
Especially considering we went from 57 year old Cranston to this 30 year old child actor Eisenberg. Then it dawns on me, Eisenberg is 30 years old. And Cavill is 30 ... I do some mental math and realize I'm old.
So I hope all works out well. I wish everyone well and I'll buy a ticket and the Blu-Ray even if it sucks because just like FTC bodies, I remember a time when super hero movies didn't even get made.
