Gal Gadot Cast as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman!

Originally, they had CW involved as a farm league. Now, that's out because they keep throwing more into this film.

Don't forget, they never officially announced a title.

All of this has to do with Affleck and Brett Ratner who put together a funding group to replace Legendary. They seem to be reorganizing all the properties so it's a domino effect. I mean, Wonder Woman went from a bad CW teen angst drama just a year ago, to third player in the largest WB tentpole.

^Ha, good analogy. I too think it's a mistake to throw EVERYTHING into this movie. I liked MoS, but I know many have problems with it, and I understand those for the most part. There isn't the nearly universal good will there that Iron Man, Thor, or Captain America: The First Avenger had. DC/WB want this to be THEIR Avengers, but the foundation is much shakier, even though MoS did quite well at the box office.

You know how during the State of the Union address they keep a few cabinet secretaries away from the Capitol in case the building blows up and the entire government dies?

This movie could use that strategy. They are filling it with all of their best characters and they may destroy all of them in one massive bomb.

Now I just read they are going to introduce the Flash in this film. Is the working title Supes vs. batman a thin disguise for a secret JL movie or do you think the apperances are really minor? If WB has any sense at all, and I've not seen too much evidence that they do, save the Justice league for 2017 and gague audience response to whoever they have make cameos.

I dunno, this all seems like they're making it up as they go. I thought they had a solid script already and now they are throwing in this on top? Maybe it was part of the plan, maybe a running change but it either way it looks like too much, too fast. I see WB really, really running this train off tracks and into an airport terminal.

No thank you, she will never do. Even if she puts on some weight she'd have to workout so much that it would be nothing but muscle and she end up like a female bodybuilder - not my idea of a Wonder Woman.

she has the chest of an 12 year old boy for gods sake. they will have to give her a prosthetic chest. Amazon my ***. on that note I will reserve judgment until I see the movie. I liked Man of Steal and have high hopes that WB and DC will finally get something right. ( I have serious doubts)

There's a solid chance I'll look back at this thread/post and realize I was wrong, but for now...I'm out. Done. I can understand the Affleck Batman and can even see him doing it well. Having this 8 year old as WW is the last bit of evidence that nobody at WB, DC, Snyder or Nolan understand the legacies of the characters they are destroying nor do they apparently care. This is a complete disregard for both common sense and common decency.

Until I see something that blows me away, like a badass Batsuit or a terrific casting of Luthor, 4x2-8= the amount of ****S I give about this film.

I'm out too. On a positive note MeTV is adding the Lynda Carter series to its lineup so I'm all set without having to bust out the DVDs. Nobody will top her in that outfit anyway, she is and always will be the only Wonder Woman. Everyone else are just pretenders to the tiara and bracelets.

The actors are the least of this movie's worries. That last one was just dreadful. Just picture all of these actors scowling in a blue color-timed landscape before they all leap into hard-to-see CG actors. It's got all the makings of a hot mess.

I feel like the modern superhero train is leaving without me. Sadly, the budgets and special effects for Superhero movies came about 30 years too late. The general public's concept of what a superhero is has moved far away from mine. I'm into Megos/70s Television/John Romita/Neal Adams superheroes. Man of Steel wasn't even close, and I don't predict a quantum tone change for this.

And yes, she's too skinny. Where are the Amazonian hips? And, well, let's just say they'll have to significantly pad out the corset.

Doesn't anyone involved in the casting question this? Weird how things get decided.

As Chris said I'm extremely surprised that the rumors were true. I think I'm even more surprised that Jaimie Alexander didn't get the part. Gadot may look like WW but Alexander IS WW.

Alexander isn't a pro wrestler. She's just not model thin.

I'm not sold. Really depends if Snyder decides to put her in Spartan training. Being Israeli means she had to serve, and I think that combined with being Ms Israel is what sold Snyder.

I too would have personally liked someone with an athletic or fitness model background, even though she apparently does have something like that...which is hard to believe.

But if Snyder wanted another model, he should have found an actual Greek, or at least someone Mediterranean. Hell, a Bali actress would have been interesting.

Have to add the irony of Jennifer Lawrence to all of this.

Man, Snyder's really got his work cut out. Odds are stacking very hard against him...
