Not a fan of Cain myself, but like Scott said, at least he wore a Superman costume, unlike lame arse Tom Welling.

Decent start to the AOS series. Certainly has a lot of promise, and will be checking out every episode.
Neat connection to IM3 with the inclusion of Extremis, various cool references to the MU scattered throughout the movie, and I'm liking the eclectic mix of agents.
Great to see Coulson back, and looking forward to the reveal of the secret concerning his return.

It's cool. You can say it.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I liked it. I think we finally found a TV drama that the whole family can watch.

I just don't want to watch C.S.I. Marvel Universe. Bring on the heroes, Marvel has hundreds of low level characters that could be used without creating new one.

Enjoyed it, looking forward to upcoming episodes (AIM, Hydra, Fenris... all on deck, folks!). I like the cast, but do we really need Handsome Lead Agent Guy? I'd switch him out with the fella with the Extremis from the first episode (there's your superpowered agent), and focus more on Coulson as the lead. We need an Everyman for a hero for a change instead of yet another Dirk Goodlooking.

Also, really, really hope Cobie Smulders signs on to this show full time after HIMYM wraps. Loved her in the Avengers, love her in this.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

on the other hand it doesn't need to turn into the guest star Marvel character of the week show either.

A level 7 agent isn't an independant operative. Level 6's are. 7's are more like the noname troops that would ineffectively swarm the villain after someone important pointed and yelled "Gett'm!" (I know this 'cos we just finished a Marvel RPG campaign a few weeks back wherein the characters were all SHIELD agents.)
Re-watched the Avengers movie last night. They refer to the events at the beginning of the movie as a Level 7 event. So I assume the Level 7 stuff is yet another subtle callback to the movie.

I've never been a fan of first episodes. I can't and wont judge it too harshly. I had a good time watching and I will continue to do so. I liked how they found a way to incorporate all the heroes powers and elements in to that centipede thing. Super soldier serum, Gamma radiation, other worldly materials, and Extremis. Pretty cool. I love Joss Whedon's snappy banter as well. I'm almost done my Buffy Marathon and this is coming along for me at just the right time.

Rumor is Nick Fury is dropped into the mix the next few weeks because the response to the pilot, going back to initial test screenings a few months ago, has been lukewarm and remained so after the initial launch. So in typical ABC/Disney fashion, they're answer is to slowly panic.

Samuel L. Jackson did express interest in guest starring as Nick Fury.

You think he was offering out of charity?

He wants the easy payday. He's 60 years old. Dude's got about five more years in the role before they recast.

So maybe five days on site, on set for fours hours a day, for what, at least 500K?

I think he has a vested interest in the character. Of course dude's gotta get paid, but I truly think he's a big picture guy and he thinks that Fury is the glue that holds the film universe together so far. I can't imagine him going to the small screen at this point in his career for a paycheck. I think he truly wants to create continuity. Could be wrong, though...

They had one of those bits tonight on Disney Channel like they do with the Marvel cartoons for SHIELD. According to the guy who plays Coulson,he's the real deal. Not sure how much of that is to be believed though.

Seeing Nick Fury Jr on tonights episode was the best. Hope he shows up again during sweeps week.
