I loved the movie. I really loved how they handled flash and GL too. When they had Wonder Woman letting women kill unarmed men, I thought that really isn't WW to me. I know they were Bad men but still not WW. I know in recent years she killed max but He was controling Superman.

I still think it was great with only a minor complaint about WW in the begining.

^^^ WW was true to character from the book, so no complaints from me.

I just saw it...and LOVED it! I think it's the best straight to Video DVD Animated release to date! My only complaint is also Sisto's Batman...He was passable...but they should have got Kevin Conroy.

I liked it but I wish it had been longer to give some of the minor characters more screen time...

And maybe I missed it but it looks like Prof (from the Challengers) and Dr. Will Magnus were pipe-less ???

T-bolt maybe WW is true to this book(which I have never read) but not to her own books.

I'm curious about how she is in this book now. WW in her own books would not have let that happen no matter if she thought they deserved it or not. It would be a new WW than the one from the last 60+ years in comics.

Ric, this was kind of an alternate take on classic DC characters. It's not in continuity, so Darwin played around with them a little. I know that the NF version was Diana, but I could totally see Hippolyta doing something like that. And since she did take up the mantle of Wonder Woman, technically becoming the Golden Age Wonder Woman(sort of), it seems like a pretty fair balance between the two.

Another point about the book. Cooke wrote this as if the characters appeared in the world on the year of publication. Batman first appeared in Gotham in 1939, Superman 1938 etc. So the heroes are products of the times. Batman wanted to evolve, Diana didn't or couldn't. She also didn't want to play along with US policy of the times and became jaded to the govt. she served during WW2.

I finally got a chance to watch this tonight and loved it! Even though there were some minor changes, it was great to see the characters origins play out as I remembered them. All of the characters were dead on to I feel. Even WW, who got to play the jaded hero.
My only complaint was it wasnt longer so more character details could get thrown in.....guess they will just have to make this a series!

As Chris mentioned, a Kingdom Come film done with this kind of attention would be fantastic too!!!

That's a GREAT idea! I've always wanted to see "The Dark Knight Returns" done in this way! Or Batman Year one? Wouldn't that be cool! With animation, instead of live action...You can capture the Artist's style of the Comics!

I thought it was good, but definitely should have been longer. The vocal cast was strong. I really liked Boreanaz as Hal. He could probably play him in a live action movie. I would say it is the best animated comic book movie since Batman: MOTP. It made me want to pick up the book for sure.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone outside of the hobby. There's just too much going on. Sure, we're given hints to the story in the opening, but if your not familiar with the NF comic or SA origins of DC characters, that opening sequence is just nice design work.

I would have preferred that the story focus solely on one character. Specifically Hal or JJ. Especially JJ. We would have had a story about one character that was accidentally brought to Earth, but finds a way to make it his home, vs the Center that seems to have always been a part of the Earth and regards it as his own. So much so that it intends to destroy this new infection called man.

I haven't purchased the DVD yet, but it sounds like a good one to purchase based on the 'reviews' read here. Correct ?

I saw some Pages over at Superhero Hype...of Batman & Superman fighting in the Batcave...apparently, the Movie left quite a bit out. I'm going to have to pick up the Trade Paperback.
