Isn't a bit odd that only 2 years into the reboot that they feel they already have to resort to "game changers" and events like this? At this rate I can see stuff piling on where once again they'll back themselves into a corner and have to reboot again to get out from under all of the debris.

If these are really new versions of the characters that have only been operating for 5 years or less then why push the envelope with a Dick Grayson reveal as if its the same DG that has been around since Earth-1 was invented? I mean that's what you'd normally do with a decades old version in order to shake up the status quo and keep things fresh. Isn't the whole point of the New 52 that its fresh to begin with?

Just more bad writing/plotting/editing IMO....

(As a side note, I was re-reading stuff like "Superman:Secret Origin", "Blackest Night", and "Legion of 3 Worlds" this past weekend and my, oh my, how Geoff Johns star has fallen since then. His New 52 work seems hacky and cliched by comparison)

We can hate on it all we want but the the only fiasco in this so far is DC underestimated demand for the special covers and is allocating them per retailer. So sales wise this event is already a hit for them. Sometimes I think we all forget that's all any of this is about.

He is, but the JLA members all died in an as yet untold story between Trinity War and the start of Forever Evil. He's captured by the Crime Syndicate and then unmasked.

It's not groundbreaking or at all newsworthy outside of comics fandom, but it's a fun comic.

I don't think Dick's going to die, but rather join Luthor and some other key villains as Batman to fight the Crime Syndicate.

The rumor I heard is DiDio is finally going to kill Dick. He's been gunning for him since he first walked in the door.

A few years ago I'd been up in arms over this. Now I know it doesn't really matter. These are in no way my heroes any more. They just KINDA look like them...

... Dick Grayson. Apparently The Crime Syndicate of Earth-3 captures Nightwing and reveals his ID to an assemblage of villains.

Oh, and Ultraman (the Earth-3 Superman) snorts some Kryptonite and moves the moon.

I'm so glad I've given up on this "mature" nonsense from DC....
