    Cast CW Flash series

With the recent new of Cynthia Addai-Robinson playing Waller I really want to know who you would cast in the flash tv series. My opinion is

Barry - I want a no name someone that fits the role perfectly
Wally - Someone from maybe 90210 or a similar show that way they have the same background as Willa and Colton
Jay - John Wesley Shipp!!! Just talked to him on twitter and he is down! he just has other projects right now

... I am very up in the air about the cast of this show. Any ideas?

John Wesley Shipp would be a great casting coup for them. Lots of good will from us old Flash fans. I still love that show.

I would love for Chris Pine to play Barry Allen. He's been my number one choice to play him since a Flash movie's been announced. I think he would make an excellent Flash, especially if they want to integrate him into the JL movie (or a solo Flash film). Plus, he and Amell are both 32, so I see no problem with it age wise.

I can think of only one Flash be it Barry or Wally and that's James Vanderbeek. He has a likeability factor that's tough to gain with a newbie plus he's accustomed to television and the daily demands.

It would be cool if they adapted "Flash of Two Worlds" and had Shipp as Jay. I wouldn't want to see him as the Jay from the previous series who got killed 20 minutes into the pilot. I kept hoping Barry would meet an alternate Jay that lived and became the Flash, still played by the always enjoyable Tim Thomerson.

I can think of only one Flash be it Barry or Wally and that's James Vanderbeek.
He would work. I've always thought Mark Paul Gossaler from Saved by the Bell would make a good Wally, but I think he has a series right now, and he may be too old.

^ Vanderbeek's forehead would look immense in that mask, but for a TV show, he'd be a good choice. I hesitate to admit it - even among friends - but I liked Dawson's Creek.

Gossaler would work too, if he doesn't mind pulling out the peroxide again.

Pine would be great for a Flash feature film if The WB could sign him.

I liked Shipp as Flash on the tube back in the day, but the suit looked like spray-painted styrofoam. If there is any character to use spandex on, it's the Flash.

I don't think Gossaler or Vanderbeek are too old for the part. If you think about the silver-age DC heroes, they were all well established in their careers before becoming super heroes. I always saw Barry Allen, Ray Palmer and Hal Jordan as in their early 30s at earliest late 20s when they started being the heroes. Again, I'm speaking of their actual origins in the 50s and 60s, not the retcons. Wasn't Oliver Queen stranded on the island for 7 years?

I know the producers will likely want to cast younger because it could take a decade to make 3 films, but it's not a necessity.

Now who needs to be told about posting spoilers from a 23 year old series which I should've watched by now but haven't?

^Do yourself a favor and watch it. Sure there are some things that date it, but it still holds up. The stories and acting are solid.

Yeah, I know you're just busting my spoiler-skiddish chops!

I think you'll really enjoy The 90s Flash. I recently got the soundtrack CD that came out a few years ago, and watched the Trickster episodes again. Great stuff!

when did CW approve a Flash series? Man, I am really getting behind the 8 ball. Only makes sense that if ABC/Disney will be taking advantage of the fact that they own a comic book company that WB would follow suit with new series. It's a shame that it took them this long. Birds Of Prey was great and the WB just drop the ball back then. They could have teamed it up with Smallville on the same night. Guess WB wasn't that smart.

Their eyes can't hope to see
                          The beauty that surrounds them

That costume was Badarse!!! I loved it!! The suit was a latex muscle with red flocking so it would look better when shot at night
