Brian Cranston Cast As Lex Luthor

    Seems like the logical choice.

In the middle of the hoopla surrounding Ben Affleck and Batman, it would appear that Bryan Cranston has accepted the role of Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2 .

He will make a compelling Lex Luthor. Good pick.

^Yes, I think they have done well here. Mark Strong would have worked too, but maybe it's too soon after GL's Sinestro.

        Hmmmm....

Only as long as the film involves a Lex Luthor real estate scam. It's not Lex unless he's involved in a real estate scam.

        *sigh*

^Real estate that he evidently will produce drugs on.

Will this be another thread about "opportunistic" casting?

^ That's the thing, all casting is opportunistic.

Cranston seems too old for the role to me, but he is a fine actor. But I can't think of anyone who would definitely be better without seeing what the role will be like in the script.

I do hope those working on the script stay as far away from Hackman's version of the character as possible.

              Cranston friggin' rules!!!!!!!!!

The dude is terrific, if you haven't seen Breaking Bad, do yourself a favor and watch it, the guy is mesmerizing

The age doesn't bother me one bit, he's gonna bring baddarse to the table.

I'm sorry, Superman, but if they cast Cranston as Luthor, I'm rooting for the bad guy in this one, lol.

Cranston played Commissioner Gordon a few years ago in Batman Year One but I guess it's not exactly mainstream since it was an animated film and direct to DVD. Still did a heck of a job with the voice work.

Okay, this has been debunked as a rumor for now. I was wondering why none of the legit Superman/Batman sites were reporting it:
