I loved the first one, and cannot wait for the sequel.
Teen heroes in violent R-rated superhero flick, lots of violence...but with great humor as well.
Definitely not a PC or kid-friendly movie, lol.
The only bad apple has been Jim Carrey, he's not supporting the film due to its violence.
I'm like, "what the hell"?
Excuse me Mr Carrey, but didn't you see the first movie? Didn't you read the script?
Carrey's argument is that after doing the movie, the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting happened, and that he had a change of heart.
What about the other countless shootings that happened before? Gabby Giffords and the Aurora shootings come to mind. Those don't count? Why be in a Kick Arse movie in the first place then?
Carrey's attitude is a slap in the face to not only the movie studio who paid him (he's risking being blacklisted), the director, producers, but it's also not fair to his co-stars.
If Carrey is really regretful and appalled from being in this movie, he should make a public apology, and donate his entire Kick Arse paycheck to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, if he doesn't, then he's a damn hypocrite.
Article on the matter...
Ok, enough of that, I'm so ready for Kick Arse 2...
