Let's face it: Marvel and their licensees have made a boatload of money on Iron Man variants. They have Stark envy, sot they are going to put these guys in as many different suits as possible. Heck, Cap wore 3 outfits in the first film. I like the one above IF it is only a temporary change...and it sure looks to be that way.

I don't think he steals back the old one out of disgust for the new.

It appears to be part of the elaborate "espionage/sabotage" talking point they reiterate like robots. So SHIELD takes his new suit, forcing him to go swipe the old one from the museum.

The new one has that great United Nations vibe Feige wanted to go for several years ago.

^^What's interesting about that photo, is the WWII outfit from the first movie didn't have that third red stripe in the middle between the straps.

And they thought I wouldn't notice...

Yep, disturbing lack of red there. Unless, as pointed out, it's some kind of semi-stealth variant.

It'll be interesting to find out the situation that causes him to ditch the SHIELD Cap suit and recover his WW2 uniform from the Smithsonian...

It's not a totally bad design, (it ain't a Cap A design), but likely where the dumb "private" shoulder stripes pointing downwards came from on his Avengers movie costume:

Yeah, that's the one thing that bugs me about it. Although two hooks and a star would presumably make him MasterCorporal America.... and the US doesn't have MasterCorporals.
