^ This is the Man of Steel thread, not the World War Z thread.

If you hated it, no big deal. At least you saw it and made your own opinion.

Interesting and entertaining take on Man of Steel from screenwriter Max Landis.
Oh good gawd, what an affected SOB.
He's such a pompous ***, I find myself questioning the things I originally agreed with.
EDIT:
He's 27. Honestly, *** does he really know about superheroes?
It sounds trite, but I cannot stand how I'm seeing constant pontifications from 20somethings who claim a deep verse in superhero arcana, and you can tell they're all referencing the same articles, interviews, graphic novels, etc...
I'm not claiming you have to know every issue by heart, but it's the Tarantinoish attitude that's creating a level of disgust,
For example, look at how he frames Superman's motivations. He does it against Spidey, Batman and etc... While argument sounds logical, the context is bass ackwards. Those characters were given motivations because Siegel didn't give Superman one and they had to differentiate their characters, somehow. If Superman came after Batman, then you better believe Siegel would have been focused on the why and wherefores, but since he was a springboard character, the motivation was understood because of the format; Flash Gordon, Valiant, etc... it was an unwritten code. Landis is proscribing a motivation that didn't exist.

HAW! Yeah.... that's how I felt back in the day when I WAS a 20 someting going to the comic shop. Funny thing; this clown is exholting all the exact same points I heard back then. Hell; this guy LOOKS like those clowns, too.

The problem I have with this and Nick Fury is why do they take and feel they have to change an established character? I wouldn't think it would be right to make a movie about the Falcon and make him a white guy. But ok I'll play along lets say DC feels in the next Batman movie that they need to make an established character black how do you think this would play out?
Oh brother, this awesome thread is going to go down the toilet.
You are telling us the reason you didn't like the movie was because Perry White was played by a Black actor?
Is this what you are saying?
If that's the reason, that is some lame arse crap right there.
Who gives a shiat what color they are, especially some relatively minor supporting characters.
I didn't like Larry Fishburne not because he's a Black Perry White, but because his portrayal was boring, void of passion, and uninteresting, not his damn skin, who gives a donkey's arse.
A real historical person, Ok, then you have a point, but a damn supporting minor comic book character?
Please, stick to logical sane reasons why you disliked the movie, not this crap.
