Arnold Schwarzenegger to reprise Conan in "Conan the King"
A story I never thought we would get and a travesty to leave from the Arnold series. Now we can see his character come full circle. Oh YES! I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!!
The latest Conan was well done and kind of put the old Ahh-nold one to shame.
I just couldn't get into it...despite all the scenery, it just felt empty, and the guy that played Conan had ZERO presence. Hell, I can't even remember his name...that tells you how much of an impression he left. The original just feels epic.
I HATED the Arnie Conan. He's too bulky, slow and inarticulate for the part. The recent film was pretty good; I didn't care so much for the ol' "YOU are the chosen one!" plot; but the dude felt like young Conan from the novels and comic. (Well.... "Savage Sword" comic anyhoo....)
Yeah ..., I enjoy it so much, probably seen it like 25 times or something ...
I was really hoping they would continue Jason in that Role and Franchise. Box Office Takes were not the best....,but Steam came back around for DVD and Blue Ray, Rentals and NetFlicks . It's a Great Movie imo, with some neat Characters. And a lot like Conan in Comics imo.
I think a "King Conan" Would Work imo.
And Think if Arnie can Half way Snap his Body Back ..., It coud Happen.
Based on his Few Movie Scenes since being back, I think He's got the Clint Eastwood Angry Additude , and can Pull Off being an Angry Old Man. I could see him as The King Conan.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
When I first read the post I thought maybe he was playing a bit part in a sequel to the 2011 version.
I'm have mixed feelings on this one. The new francise opened up possiblities for some great adaptations but how is that going to be possible now? I guess That could make a "younger" Conan film again in a few years but people may become confused.
An aged Conan story would be interesting, if done right. I can only hope that it's better than the second Arnie film. He needs to start practicing his snarls along with bulking up.
