Looking for an Amazing Fantasy 15...

Putting this here because this is where all the comic book geeks hang-out...not the marketplace.

I need some of my comic friends to keep their eyes and ears open for this issue. I have been scouring all the on-line stores (ebay, comiclink, comicconnect, etc.).

I thought I would see if any of you have seen one at your local comic book shop for sale.

I've got about $5,000 to spend (I can go a little over - maybe $5500) and I'm looking for an issue anywhere between 2.0-4.0. It doesn't have to be graded by CGC, and I would even entertain restored copies, but
I would need to know the details.

If any of you have a lead, please pass it on to me. Like anyone, I want the most bang for my buck. Thanks!

I had one in my hands in the 80s but the $800 price tag seemed too risky.

I was just at Chicago Comicon two weeks ago. I would have been a little more help then. I will keep my eyes open.

This is getting to be a tough book to find at a reasonable price. Everyone wants 2-3 times over fair market value for these. I just thought that if I had more "feelers" out there, I might luck out
and find a good book at a decent price.

I've put some offers out on a few books, but haven't heard anything back yet.

This one is a reprint that's been graded and put up at a ridiculous price. It's very deceptive.

Nice! I like how Spidey himself is blemish free, but the wearing around the logo actually adds a bit of ambiance.

thanks guys. This is one of those things that I've waited...and waited...and waited for thinking "I probably will never have one" just due to the price.

I finally decided that if I do not move now, I will never own one. They are sky-rocketing in price in any grade.

And yes Terry...I do plan to open it, take it out, hold it, and read it like a little kid. I will eventually re-submit it to be graded again, but I want my hands on that thing.
