    Description of the teaser trailer:

We see flashes of Smallville. The farm house. Clark running in a red cape as a child.
This looks VERY different from Superman films of the past
An older, bearded Clark walks a snowy road in an arctic town.
We hear Russell Crowe’s voice talking about children being inspired to greater things
It sounds like it’s cut with Kevin Costner’s voice. Both fathers are giving Clark/Kal advice on how to become who he wants to be
We see Clark being brought to the Kent barn and shown the spaceship that has been hidden there
Clark holds a small piece of metal with the S logo on the end
We’re jumping back and forth through time periods
Clark, as a teen, saved a bus of kids
The bus crashed in the water and we see him swimming, pulling the door off
“People are afraid of what they don’t understand,” says Costner
We see Clark talking to Jor-El. They’re standing right in front of one another, but I think it’s a holographic projection (though it looks live)
We see Superman in the suit. First from a distance and then walking across a snowy plain
There are flashing of Superman flying and one of him catching someone falling off a building
A single flash of Amy Adams’ Lois Lane
One flash has Superman (in costume) — seemingly in handcuffs — being led down a hallway by a security force
We see Clark (without seeing his face) stepping into an elevator and begin to lift glasses to his face
There’s a flash of Clark, shirtless, with his whole body on fire
Another of him crashing into the bank vault we saw in the first still. It looks like he’s been thrown.
I’m not great at describing music, but it’s decidedly more somber than Williams’s score.
The whole look of it has a very dark, autumny feel to it all.
There’s a major discussion in the narration about the world turning against Superman because they don’t trust him if he ever appears.
There’s a flash of Zod, but literally so fast you just see his face.
Apparently someone witnessed young Clark as a child saving the bus with his powers.
None of the trademark Snyder shots in the trailer. No slo-mo or shuttery frames

Did you go to Comic Con?

This is the best I could do...

Has Zack Snyder dropped his controversial directing style to deliver "a Terrence Malick like" take on the iconic superhero?

Of course, Superman doesn't wear his suit in the comics any more either.

I'll get used to it like with Batman and Spider-Man and the rest, but I probably won't ever like it.
But you understand what I mean, George Reeves suit was made for him it has a distinctive look to it. the way the S was made the way he wore his cape like a Roman guard. same with Chris, his suit was made just for him and so on with the others. It's not like they made ONE suit that all of them wore.....

Yes it's Superman, but every generation has had their OWN Superman.......Singer the nimrod tried to make his Superman the same as Chris Reeve's version. that was a HUGE mistake. You give a nod to the past like they did in Superman the movie (Noel Neill and Kirk Alyn cameo) and you tell your own tale.......

You hit the nail on the head.

They do an exact copy of the Reeve's movie. and they hate it.

Now they do a completely different version...the opposite of what everybody hated in the first place...and they still hate it...lol.

It's a no-win situation no matter how you put it...

I HIGHLY recommend blowing up video to full size...crappy pirated footage...but hey...enough for us Supes groupies to quench our thirsts until it comes fully into the scene...

A video — probably taken with a smartphone — of absolutely dreadful quality of the Man of Steel trailer has been posted online. But even allowing for the fuzzy images, it may be hard to understand what brought fans who viewed it to their feet and caused one questioner during a panel discussion about the movie to break down in sobs. Nevertheless, several reports have indicated that the two-minute-long trailer — the camcorded video makes it appear as if it was shown on three screens simultaneously — convinced many of those in attendance that the Superman reboot, due to be released next June 14, will become the blockbuster hit of the year. Adam Vary, who covered the screening of the trailer for Entertainment Weekly‘s blog, wrote, “Snap Judgment: Major. Goosebumps. [Director Zack] Snyder appears to have crafted a rich, regal, deeply serious, and quite emotional cinematic canvas for this iteration of Superman’s story, and the footage struck just the right balance between grand spectacle and human-scaled feeling.” Natalie Finn of E! online remarked that the trailer got “the audience’s collective heart pounding faster than a speeding bullet.” Her conclusion: “Man of Steel looks (and sounds) amazing.” Eric Eisenberg of CinemaBlend.com provided a scene-by-scene description of the trailer, then summed up: “What surprised me most about the footage was how bleak it was.” During a panel discussion following the screening, Snyder said that his aim was “making [Superman] work and making him cool. … The big challenge is if you can make people feel, what would you do if you were Superman? How would you feel? In the past, he’s been a big blue Boy Scout on a throne.” Ultimately he decided “to act as if no [Superman] film had been made.”

Although that soundtrack sounds awesome...it's from The Thin Red Line...I'm sure they are composing an original one right now as we speak.
