Andrew Garfield wants Spider-Man to be part of Avengers sequel

Ha ha, lols! I bet he does now. I wonder if the Avengers success is tempting Fox and Sony into collaborating with any of the Marvel franchise they control.

I was saying they SHOULDA had him cameo in the FIRST one...
      woulda been GREAT cross promotion.

Those Nick Fury clips in the other MARVEL movies used to get a lot of press
and attention, and they were little 3 minute bits.... it wouldn'ta took much
screen time to give the Spidey reboot an honest push.

          Garfield:

"I saw it, and I was blown away. And I'm going to see it again this weekend. I have no problem adding to the amount of money it's making!

"Joss Whedon is a genius, and it's an incredible cast. I was very, very jealous, and I wanted to jump on the screen and play with them.

"It killed me that I wasn't in it, but I understand why, and I'm not insulted. But hey, if Samuel L. Jackson wants to give me a shout, I'm there for the next one!"

You gotta love his enthusiasm. I'd love to see Spider-Man team-up with the Avengers, or heck, join 'em!

They should borrow the storyline from ASM 1 where Spidey thinks he will get paid to join the FF.

The first x-men movie DVD has an Easter egg where spiderman runs up to hang out with the team... This is prior to the release of the first Raimi/Maguire film.

Isn't that an urban legend? I never saw that. Anyone have a you tube clip of that?

I thought that would happen when I heard the new Spidey film was coming out the same year as the Avengers movies. With the cast they have now, it's a total no brainer to put Spiderman in the second Avengers. I hope it happens.

It's on the DVD release of the first X1 movie. You have to manipultae the remote to unlock it but a quick google search will probably show you how to do it. It's nothing super special either, it's maybe 10 seconds long.

Come on now, folks, do any of you REALLY think Garfield has the 'nads to share screentime with the likes of Downey, Jr., Jackson, Evans, Ruffalo or Hemsworth? It would wind up coming off like what they're doing in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN on Disney---having Peter Parker/Spider-Man be like a little schoolgirl with a crush on the The Avengers.

Not how it's s'pposed to be at all.

Spidey is AT least equals with Cap, The Hulk and Thor in the legends department, so IF (and notice that's a mighty big "if") they're gonna introduce him into THE AVENGERS mythology, I think we need to get classic, older Spider-Man (preferably in the right suit) who's standing on equal ground with the big boys, not staring at them all googly-eyed....
