I'd have to go with Aquaman here.....seeing as Namor can only control the beasts from the depths with a huge conche shell (although I do remember John Byrne trying to give him Aquaman type control over fish/undersea mammels in the 80's) and the Atlantaens are a trecherous bunch at best. Yeah i know Aquamans had some probs with his subjects too but I think he'd edge it with his control over the fish...and less egotistic arrogance ( didn't Byrne put this down to him being a hybrid and mood swings being blamed on lack of water/air at any given time?).

It would be a draw, after a brief fight, they would exchange sob stories Namor will cry over Sue Richards and Aquaman will cry over Mera, Then borh would team up and go on a tear on the surface world

Aquaman vs. Namor is the one case where the copy surpassed the original all the way around. Aquaman has a better name, a better costume, a much better supporting cast, etc. Too bad DC went out of their way to make him more surly and Namor-like. Looks like the time for classic Aquaman is soon to return though.

If you are talking about a fight between classic Namor and classic Aquaman, Arthur wins. While Namor is busy ranting and raving "Imperious Rex!" and all that junk, Artie would command a school of sword fish to come and saw off Namor's lil' sissy wings. Ol' flathead would go off crying back to his blue mama.

Plus, while Namor had Lady Dorma, Aquaman had Mera...as drawn by Nick Cardy. Va-voom!!!

Aquaman could call in any one of his flying JLA buddies to help him out of that one. Namor never has any real friends for any amount of time to help him. He's too surly.
