Which Cap costume do you prefer? WWII or Avengers?

I've seen enough shots of the Avengers Cap to have a pretty good opinion about the final product, without seeing the film. I prefer the WWII Cap outfit. I feel the Avengers outfit is too generic in the mask. I think they should have allowed his ears to come out and give the wings on his mask some lift so they register when you look at him from the front. That and his shoulders seem a little small. Possibly because I'm now use to them being padded as they were in the first film? I also wish the strips in his midsection swept UP the side of his body instead of bowing down. That gives him an awkward posture when he's just standing there. What do you think?

Yes this is the Hot Toys Cap, but you get the general idea.

The Avengers one reminds me of the CBS tv films with Reb Brown in 1979 but I have a soft spot for those 2 tv films.I do like the WWII version though more hardcore!

There is probably an absolutely perfect middle ground between the Avengers outfit and the USO oufit. The WW2 costume grew on me, but just seemed a bit too bulky. For me, it's hard to top Hitch's Ultimate Cap ww2 design.

I like the WWII costume better. Maybe when I see him in action, on screen, my opinion will change. But right now, especially in that picture, he looks like an action figure, not the kick-*** leader and soldier he should be. And on a side-note, Black Widow is giving the camera a funny look. Wonder why.... Just found that funny.

Jeremey Renner's Hawkeye's costume is so...well...boring and uninspired...

I actually prefer the Modern costume. Although I do like the leather boots and gloves of the WWII version, but I always felt the bagginess looked a little awkward. Here is another pic of the modern version, when its dirtied up a little, the design looks a little less harsh.

I don't mind the modern version at all.

I'm so glad they didn't go with some kind of rubber textured thing which seems to be so prevalent in super hero movies these days.
It could have been far, far worse!

Also, in action, it will probably look even better.

I'm also glad they didn't deviate drastically from the essence of the comic book version.

Hawkeye on the other hand, looks far less impressive. They really should have given him his mask.

I like them both, and really wish Hawkeye looked better.

I like them both...but the WW2 one edges it out a bit.

That's sorta the look they're giving Hawkeye in the comics now too....

Hawkeye's costume is soooo whatever. Missed opportunity.

The WWII outfit really grew on me, and I loved the movie, so I'm emotionally invested in it. I don't think it would have looked too good with him standing next to Iron Man though, so I think the new suit is right for the Avengers movie. I have no problems with it, and when I see it on the screen, it may replace the WWII version.

I didn't like the WWII one in the beginning but it did grow on me, still I like the Avengers one much better. It's just closer to what always knew Cap to look like.
Yeah, they really could have done a much better job with Hawkeye.

Hawkeye looks like an unmasked Gimp.
