    Hmmmm....

I agree that it could be worse, but this design makes him look too much like Killer Croc; and it's tough enough keeping all the superhero stuff straight. Not to mention the Sleestaks, aliens from V, them guys from the last Trek tv show....

It kinda puzzles me 'cos back in the day designers sought to make their characters unique, and stand out; whereas everything from the last 10 years has been swishing into one pile of pasty, indistinct goo.

It is fascinating how EVERY marvel superhero movie has an ATV tie in toy that never appears in the movie itself.

The snout actually wasn't on the original ditko lizard. I don't blame folks here for being disappointed... I know was kind of hoping for something close to the Mego.

The Todd McFarlane Lizard is the NASTIEST Lizard drawn by any artist in the series.

If they would just make his teeth sharper, I could stand it better. I will see it and reserve final judgment until them, but I'm not getting my hopes up at all.

They made the HULK's ATV purple and his pants grey? So wrong.

I agree that McFarlane's Lizard is just too "out there" for a movie audience to accept, but I would've been happy seeing a Lizard who looked more like the classic Gil Kane/John Romita character---not too much snout, but enough to convey that, if he got ahold of you with his jaws, you'd likely be in trouble.

I actually was quite fond of the interpretation of the Lizard from the CG animated SPIDER-MAN series that ran on MTV right after the first SPIDER-MAN opened and thought that would've been a good approach to the character.

The problem, as I see it, with this version of the Lizard is that he looks too----vanilla. Too plain. And, yeah, he does closely resemble Killer Croc, which DC might not be too happy about...

MIB41 and I have been discussing the Lizard since waaaay back when the first movie opened and we both agree that basically a mutated form of a Velociraptor would've made for a good Lizard or, heck, even a variation on the baby Godzillas!

All I can say is if this is all this movie has got to offer, a lame Lizard and basketball-covered, big-headed Spider-Man, then it will definitely be very very low on my list of movies to see this summer...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Im a little disappointed in the design (kinda boring) but i can deal with it if the movie itself is better than Spiderman 3.
I was really, REALLY wanting this spiderman installment to be closer to its roots.

I think we will see our first full length trailer during the Superbowl. And if the Lizard moves as badly as he looks, this film will be crucified in the media. Could be a very low day for our beloved Webhead.

Ya know this movie can't get any worse publicity for the web-slinger than that abomination of a Broadway show....

Yep. That's why I said "No snout reminds me a little bit of the Ditko version."

And I say this again. Couldn't they have given him his lab coat and his purple pants? He just isn't the Lizard without them!

                            ARGH!

And don't get me started on the Un-amazing Grid-Man's outfit!

What we know and have seen of the new Spidey movie reboot has not impressed me at all. Maybe the movies main theme should be the shiana twain song that don't impress me much.
