    Lizard's look confirmed with action figures

    Any suggestion that the earlier artwork of the Lizard was not finalized can be put to rest now. The action figures have been revealed. He looks the same... Blah...

                  No snout reminds me a little bit of the Ditko version.

                  But couldn't they have given him his lab coat and his purple pants?
                  He just isn't the Lizard without them!

                      I don't know how they could have gotten the look more wrong. Do I sense Disney involvement/interference?

                                          I just saw some pics yesterday of the movie mega block sets and he's wearing the labcoat...so he must at least some of the time during the film.

                                          He's still closer to the comics than the Green Power Ranger Goblin was...LOL.

                                              Well, it's not as close to the comic book version as I'd hoped, but it could have been much worse.

                                              At least it's not quite as bad as the heavily tampered with versions of villains we got in a lot of superhero movies over the last 10 years or so.

                                                  On a somewhat related note, Target had a sign over their DVD section with Iron Man and Spider-Man. Oddly enough, Spider-Man was the new version from this upcoming movie, and not the Raimi Spidey. Seemed odd considering this movie won't be on DVD for another 10 months or so!

                                                  As for the Lizard, I'm glad they didn't go with the McFarlane aligator monster bit, but I'd like to have seen the classic Ditko design be used. Oh well.

                                                      ARGHHHH!! I HATE IT!! Ever since the first Spiderman movie I've been praying they would do the Lizard. After this long wait...this is what we finally get? What a total bummer.
