Rumors are that Bane breaks Batman's back early in the film...those are just rumors I've read.

So far Anne Hathaway is irritating me, and seems like the Catwoman character will detract but we'll see. It's still early and they are filming. I'm wondering what character Joseph Gordon Levitt is really playing. He doesn't seem like a casting just for a minor role. Perhaps he will be a huge surprise for fans?

Here's some late night speculation. In Batman Begins, Nolan used the Henri Decard (sp?) character from the comics as a red herring for Ras. What if he's doing the same thing with Ann Hathaway and she is really Talia? Her speech to Bruce sounded similar to what Ras told Bruce about Gotham City to me. I've read there is a younger version of Ras in the film and it is likely a flashback sequence. Maybe Joseph Gordon is playing a younger version of Gordon? Again just speculation.

I'm not a fan of Bane as the main antagonist. Still not sold on Hathaway as Catwoman. Hopefully I'm wrong about this movie...

I'm a real fan of the past two movies, not the greatest of all time but well thought out and pretty solid movies. I'm looking forward to the third but I have reservations, I hope it doesn't become a political rant. First hearing that they were going back to New York to film scenes with the occupy movement protesters, then hearing "catwoman" give what sounds like a quote from the occupy protesters about the richest one percent.
Other than that possibility, I'm geeked.
I think it ties in with Ra's Al Ghul's agenda from the first movie. Whether Catwoman is really tied into Ra's is unknown. She could just be saying that as a cat burglar who has a mad-on for rich boys, and it just dovetails into Ra's schemes. The other lady shown at the costume party could be Talia. I never have heard for sure if she is in this. Anyone notice the similiarity with Batman Returns with Wayne and Selina dancing at a costume ball?

Nolan decided against filming the Occupy Wall Street protesters, because he thought it would be tacky, and it would have been, honestly, no matter how you feel about that.

As for Batman out during the day...a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I believe in Batman following that code for the most part. But if he sits around while terrorists take city hall because the sun hasn't set yet, he ain't much of a hero!!!

I'm still wondering if at the end of the movie Alfred won't give Bruce a throwaway line like "You have that charity benefit at the circus tonight..." as a nod to Robin being part of the legend, but not on screen. Or Bruce may die, but I doubt it.

I've been thinking the same thing for quite awhile. He bares a strong resemblance to another Actor.

I'm also thinking Ann might be playing Talia. Plus, factor in the picture taken of the Lazarus pit...and Liam Neeson has been spotted on set.

Levitt is seen briefly in the trailer looking a lot like a cop.

He's supposed to be a cop, and in the stills released a while back, he's in the shots of Batman fighting Bane on the courthouse (or whatever) steps. There is a theory around the net that he is not quite who the cast sheet says he is. But who knows? I've been avoiding most spoilery stuff with this one.

Didn't know the occupy filming was scrapped. Glad to hear it. I don't mind Mr Nolan is for or agenst the occupy movement, I just don't like seeing personal veiws thrown into movies like this.
Before Dark Knight came out I did't like the previews, what Joker loooked or sounded like and did not think it would be as good as Begins, then I went to see it and was amazed with it. I have high hopes that Rises will amaze me too.

Right after Bane is talking to the bloody Bruce there is a shot of Bruce talking with hathaway, is he leaning on a cane?

When I saw Levitt in Inception I thought "how cool would it be if he was cast in the next Batman movie as Riddler" then I found out about Bane and Catwoman and thought a good opportunity was missed... still have my fingers crossed
