The Lizard is my most favorite character period and he is what got me into collecting spidey comics and toys. Quite frankly this design is horrible. I just do not get Marvel. If this look is what is definitely the Lizard I went from such a hype of waiting my entire life since I was 6 (32 years) of seeing the Lizard on the big screen to not even wanting to watch this film.
I was sooo excited to be adding new Lizard collectibles to my collection, but now I could care less. You'd think they would at least make him look a "LITTLE" like what he is actually supposed to look like. Those people that said this looks like a reject from "V" couldn;t be more right. Thank you Marc Webb for completely screwing up this franchise.

On a separate note to any fans, I think they could have done the ditko version with the lab coat and pants. I mean is it too far fetched to at least give him the lab coat? I get some logic with the, "ok, growing a tail and still sporting the same pants?", but c'mon they did give the Hulk pants and for crying out loud he transformed 10 times the size of Bruce Banner". A naked Lizard, great idea from the House of Ideas and Sony. :(Comment

To me, I agree that it looks like what what the Abomination should have, minus the batwing-ears.
In the film image, I certainly don't care for the very mutated hands vs. the humanoid face/body. Losing a whole digit suggests a more radical, systemic mutation.
Considering modern comic movies, DC would prabably make Killer Croc too reptilian (when this design would serve well for him), and Marvel is conversely playing it safe, at least early in the film.
