Captain Canuck actually predated Guardian/Vindicator, having been published in 1975 first. When Guardian/Vindicator debuted in X-men in 1978, it went the other way round... he was accused of being a Captain Canuck knock-off.

Northguard debuted in the eighties, I had a fondness for this one. Looks like his sidekick, Fleur de Lys got a stamp as well.

Yeah, I mean, how can he even physically wear that? Unless it's metal and he's relying on, uh--personal magnetism.

I'm pretty sure he's doing new Captain Canuck stuff through IDW. Should be out sometime this year I think. I'm curious to see how it goes for him.

I got all my issues of Captain Canuck thru a local comic shop in the early `80's. Never new or just released but as back issues in the discount bin. I loved the art. The writer seemed unsure where to go when referencing the origin, (which seemed kind'a weak to me).

I remember picking up issues of Captain Canuck as and when I found them on sale.
Ironically they seemingly weren't too easy to get hold of in Ontario, either.

I've got the Essential Were-Wolf By Night reprints, but I'd love to see it reprinted in color in a hardback Omnibus, like Tomb of Dracula.
