OH NO!!! and i thought they couldn't get worse than the last superman movie. It's making me want to watch superman 3 !

Seriously, it's not that bad. Looks like they took Brando's robes and rethought some of the Silver Age medieval influences (capes, short sleeved tunics, etc.) with a more ornate approach. And of course lots of rubber.

Why is Jor-El even in this? Everyone knows the origin of Superman, and it was told very well by Donner. Move along please.

I wonder if the Krypton design in the new movie will in any way relect the medieval vibe of that costume?

Giant, towering gothic style citadels in the Kryptonian cities maybe?

I hope they go for the more classic SF style architecture as in the comics from years past.

Time to move on from the Richard Donner movie's crystalline look (which was a great design, but now it's time for something new, hopefully referencing the classic comics a little more).

I'm open to different interpretations of how Jor El and Krypton looked, I'm just not interested in seeing much of them in the new movie.
